Bon Appetit Restaurant and Bar, Dunedin FL

Excellent service and very good food (not excellent for the high price). Noise level in the dining room was very disappointing. It was a Friday night and busy but based on my observations I don’t think that was a factor. Too many tables for the restaurant space + a piano player = a very noisy atmosphere! If I am going to pay top dollar for food and service I expect an atmosphere that is conducive to having a normal conversation with the people at my table! That was not the experience. For that reason, I will not return.

My daughter took me to lunch for my birthday. The margarita was delicious. We had the mussels in garlic butter, and I have to say they were not all fresh but most were good. I ordered the black grouper with kapers, and feta. It was magnificent. I highly recommend.
For dessert I had creme brulee, it was decent, and a good size portion.

Whether you're sitting inside or outside, you will have a gorgeous view, especially during the sunset hours. The food is good, with a variety of items on the menu with a special menu every month (September was Lobster Fest and October was Octoberfest).

This is my favorite place for an anniversary dinner, sitting by the window, watching the sunset. The food is delicious and prepared to perfection. I can't say this about many places, but I've never been disappointed here. And the service has always been impeccable as well. Highly recommended.

We traveled here from MI. For my son's wedding in your Crystal Ball Room. View of the ocean from inside was spectacular. Staff was great. Steak was to die for. Atmosphere is very romantic. BW Hotel right next door. You can literally walk to. Couldn't of asked for a better experience. Bathrooms even accomodate to nursing mom's.

The views are beautiful but the experience was very disappointing. They got rid of our favorite dishes, the Mediterranean octopus, lobster stack, and oysters. We came in from the north and normally would eat here every day. This trip we ordered a drink and are looking for another place to eat. Very disappointing.

Great service! Attentive waiter! Since we came as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday we were placed in the back where there were many more groups that were way too loud. The mixed drinks were awful. They tasted more like soda. Stick to the wine list. The food was great!

If your a light eater with a small stomach and a fat wallet then by all means go here to eat. I personally enjoy leaving a restaurant with a full stomach. The portion size just doesn't cut it for me I shouldn't have to go home and have another meal. I'm not a big person I only weight 165 pounds the food was delicious but very pricy compared to other restaurants throughout Pinellas County Florida.

My name is Kelly and i am a chef from Dunedin. I came here and ate dinner at the outdoor bar this evening. I am allergic to gluten and must be extremely careful. Both of your female workers at the outdoor bar area were very unkind, impatient and downright visibly showed thier irritation when I asked questions, and made requests for gluten free options. At one point they were talking together about my request for her to go to the kitchen to ask the chef if the Caesar salad dressing had any gluten, and the blonde lady rolled her eyes at the Indian looking woman. And they were rude in general my entire visit because of my needs and questions. Your restaurant is high end and expensive. This experience and treatment tonight was AWFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I am very upset with your establishment now and will not be coming back or referring anyone.

Great Service, Great Views, and surprised with Bagpipers on the pier! Asked for a seat on the water being a photographer and they delivered! Incredible experience all around, chocolate mousse is amazing! Love the Three Course Meal they did! Filet was perfectly cooked! I'll be back again just for the Watermelon East Side cocktail!

Beautiful restaurant on the water. Heaters for the outside tables and bar. Food is outstanding. Excellent wine selections. Bon Appetit remains fresh and current while being a staple first-class restaurant that has been around for decades.

You know we loved bon appetite and have been going there for years! We called about a takeout thanksgiving dinner for “one person” and they told me it would be $79 dollars! I thought surely there was a mistake! I asked her to check that that wasn’t for 2 people. Nope that’s the price! This is the most ridiculous outrageous price I have ever heard of! As much as we love bon appetite we will not be back! Shame on you for being so incredibly greedy! Happy thanksgiving

Went here for dinner, beautiful location in the harbor, had the best French onion soup I ever had. Crab cakes, tuna sushi all were tremendous. Very professional and friendly staff. Can easily have a nice meal by sharing several apps. Also had a perfect Tito’s martini and creme brûlée to finish a great dinner.

Very beautiful location the rack of lamb was cooked to perfection but bland. The surf and turf was also cooked to perfection but very bland. It's a very nice restaurant to see the sunset and the service was great but the food just had no flavor

Onion soup missing the complexity of flavor I was expecting and I was also disappointed with the Caesar salad (on the bland side) and convinced Carrabb's Italian Grill has the best Caesar dressing in Tampa Bay.
These were only two items from the menu, I plan to revisit and try a few other items before I give a final rating.
The atmosphere is fun service staff professional and kind.
