Bonita Beach Access #5 reviews
15I went with my son & his family and it was great until mother nature interrupted & we had to leave?
I find it interesting how different the beaches are all the way from Fort Myers to Honeymoon Island.
Unbelievable, you will not be disappointed. Turquoise waters, white sand beaches. Some of the best I have ever seen and right here in the good Ole U. S.exploring allows one to find hidden gems like Bonita Springs, not far from FT Meyers. Well worth the short 15 to 20 minute drive.
Private beach access and beautiful 1 handicap pk spot and 5 open first come get the spots.turn over is pretty quick.
Up side of this parking lot is it is free and within steps of the beach. Downside is it only has five spots plus 1 handicap space.
It's hard not to enjoy a beautiful, sunny beach - we sat on a private section that had chairs and umbrellas set up for beachgoers with memberships. There were plenty of shells and some sea glass along the beach for beach combers. There was also ice and water for refilling my water bottle throughout the day. Bathrooms are easily accessible and there are pavilions with picnic tables for those who prefer to have a table to eat at. This beach was clean and enjoyable to visit.
Love Bonita Beach. Heart broken we have the red tide again. Hope politicians get their act together and get this issue resolved for all of us here in Southwest Florida.
Beautiful out, and the water was very aqua.almost had the beach to myself and my girlfriend. No red tide in sight.
Stopped by the beach Monday afternoon with the family while on vacation in Florida. Would definitely come back.
Pros:
- Great access to the beach.
- Minimal seaweed.
- No crowds
Cons:
- While we were able to find parking relatively quickly we could see how finding a parking spot might be challenging.
Notes:
- If you need restroom facilities, you'll need to look elsewhere.
- There are signs all over the place indicating that certain sections of the beach are private. Not sure how strictly enforced this is.
10 would like more free access to beach. Family. Mother & brothers & sisters/ born in Florida.
Beautiful beach, excellent access wonderful water couldn't find a better place top notch highly recommend anyone in the area visit this speech
Bonita Springs beach parking is very limited. You have just a few free spots every so often in between houses. Each beach access point has handicapped parking and they are rarely filled so those needing to walk a very short distance will find parking. I don’t think they have any with wheelchair access.
The beach itself is pretty clean and never gets that crowded. There are no shade trees so you may need an umbrella.
These small beach accesses are fantastic when you can get a parking spot. Smaller crowds than the main beach accesses.
Very nice beach. No high rise buildings. Plenty of room beach not crowded even on Easter Sunday. You can watch dolphins swim past. Be aware the back of beach is quite shelly.
Small parking area, but great access to the beach. When you park you are literally steps from the sand, shells and beautiful scenery! We came for sunset and it was one of the most picturesque sunsets I've seen in years! Definitely worth the visit!
If you're coming around sunset, give yourself an extra 20-40 minutes to find parking and get settled in for the breathtaking show that nature is going to provide. Also bring flips flops and beach chairs, this area is great for shelling but not so great for beach blankets and walking barefoot.
