Bono's Pit Bar-B-Q, Jacksonville FL

This place is old school awesome! The sort of place I visit when I lived in Texas. Service was excellent the food was great, I guess that's why they've been around since 1949.

First night visiting in Jacksonville and family took me out for bbq. Great laid back atmosphere. Very pleased with the pulled pork. All the sauces were good with the exception of the original, which I didn’t enjoy at all. Friendly server and decent prices.

Ordered a sliced pork sandwich and get home to a chopped pork sandwich. Called and asked why they take your order, repeat it back to you and only then did I get the reply that “sir we don’t have sliced pork, our pork doesn’t come sliced we cannot slice it “. This is simply incredible, This Bono’s has went completely to hell. I will Never be back again after 40 years.

Hey if you want to be able to sit in and have some good quality consistent barbecue go to bono's, you can enjoy the atmosphere with some good food in front of you. Joe 1

Hadn’t been in about a year or so. Looked forward to the delicious food. Disappointed with the chicken! Hard and then not cooked thoroughly! Not cool! Not cool.

First time ordering from this place & it will be my last. I ordered smoked wings & brisket. My smoked wings were missing from my order & my brisket was cold.

Went here after bad service at Monroe's. Was waited on within a couple minutes. Seated and waitress took drink orders. Came back within 5 minutes with drinks then waiter took our orders Good food liked very much and treated respectfully.

Love the brisket and pork bbq sandwiches. We have our favorites but this location can't come close to some of the others in service and cleanliness.

Great place. Food was very good Ribs, Brisket and the chicken were great. Side were awesome also I had the Corn and Collard greens.
I recommend sitting at the counter good food and a great show behind the counter.

My Boys lunch I got them was perfect
My fryied squash was only okay
The squash was half overcooked and the other half was fine.

Fantastic atmosphere and staff. Had my food a minute after sitting down and getting my drink. Can't wait to return. Pulled pork was heaven.

Bono's has been my favorite BBQ restaurant for over 20 years. They also have the very best iced tea!

Food was excellent, but the order was to go and I ordered coffee and the coffee had to be made. When my son brought the coffee and only got 8 oz.in a large styrofoam cup, if had of eaten in and got refills I would have had refills. I usually get a cup to go when i eat in and get full amount. Didn't think they were that cheap. Won't be ordering coffee to go, you only get an 8 oz amount even though pay more and no refills.

Absolutely LOVE this Bonos. I get the Sloppy Pig sandwich YUMMY. The fried squash is delicious as well.

Went to bonos for lunch go there some times twice a week waitress was worry about her tip Heather the waitress give my debit card to some one that I don't know I got there debit card how to beg for gas to get home that was a lot of stress to get home not only that how no card to get food or other things next day loose time from work to get a nother card to go on with life never will go there every again Heather needs not worry about her tips customers will not come to eat

Best smelling Pit house I have been to, great food and service, I highly recommend Bonos brisket

EVERY SINGLE TIME I walk into this place, I get treated like family. So many places I can go for BBQ but I keep coming back 3-5 times a weeks for them delicious collard greens and perfect ribs. AL is a top notch manager who truly cares about having the best BBQ in town.

Wated at the door till the pit boss sat us. Then wated for wate staff. That never came. This is after I cleaned up the table myself by the time they ask if we would like to order. Thay had seated 4 more people and brought them there drinks. POOR SERVICE.walked out and will not be Back.

I loved it! Staff is really nice and friendly. No better place to be than around friendly people! Keep it up! (:
