BoVine Steakhouse, Winter Park FL

For a restaurant that charges $60+ for a steak, the food and service felt very short. We had a reservation for 6: 45pm and we finally got a table at 7: 15pm, and it was not even busy. The server was vey nice and professional, but still, it took him a lot time to get waters and drinks, and I’m serious when I said that it took him 20 minutes. When the food finally got to our table, all the food was cold and felt that it has been in the kitchen for a while. My mother’s $60+ steak was cold, however, due to the 2 hours wait, she ate it. In addition, the baked potatoes were frozen in the middle. It looks like they were cooked and saved in the freezer the day before, so they can be warmed up in the microwave. We sent them back to warm them up but unfortunately they didn’t have time to get them back out. That’s ridiculous for the price and kind of restaurant. This is something I could see at Chili’s. We paid $450 for a dinner that can be better served at TGI Friday’s. This was my Christmas gift to my mother and brothers, and I felt embarrassed. We were very disappointed.

Meh. Food was not all that good! Service was ok but it starts and ends with the food for me; hence, three stars.

So, I am torn! Love their Wedge.however the last two times there, I could hardly eat it because the 1st time, the lettuce was not fresh and both times too much dressing. I mentioned this the first time, but then it happened again

Very nice place, good service and delicious food, the portions are very generous, but we had to wait like 15-20 minutes even with a reservation made, I still would recommend it.

The food and service during thanksgiving was absolutely incredible, the plate had all the traditional parts of the meal and the service from Vanessa Rattigan was very pleasant

Best bone-in filet in the Winter Park area. Don't forget to come on Sundays for some sensational Prime Rib as well!

The absolute worst customer service I've ever encountered in all of my years of customer service and the gentleman said oh we didn't get your order and even if we did it's Thanksgiving we're busy so guess what dude you get one star and if I could give you negative stars you would get those because guess what you ruined my family's Thanksgiving thank you so I'm so happy that you and above and beyond for knowing about yourself. And yes I realize that this is one big giant run on sentence and I am talking to text because I am livid that you would agree to work a thanksgiving shift and not be thankful that there are people that want to buy meals from your restaurant sir you are lame and you are what Taylor Swift sings about when she talks about karma. And to be clear, you are the negative reaction from karma.

It was a nice experience. The place was absolutely empty when we got there, but that's probably because it was 4: 30 on a Wednesday afternoon. The service was excellent, as was the lobster tomato bisque. Our New York strips were cooked to the perfect temperature (which is of course rare), and the meat itself is some seriously premium stuff. Their broiler gets a little too close to the line separating a perfect sear from blackened, but I'm sure next time I could specify that I don't want my steak at all blackened.

I'm sure we'll be back.

Update. Back again but went for Sunday prime rib. Seriously. Best I have ever had.

It was ok tremendously over priced the food was served cold. Overall an ok experience wouldn’t go out of way to go back.

Have been wanting to try Bovine's for a couple years and a group of 6 went for Magical Dining on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is large and was mostly empty and we were given a table by the servers station. Half of my group had already arrived and were seated but I couldn't understand why we would be seated there when we would be dropping close to $1000. The restaurant never came close to a quarter capacity.

All members of our party ordered steaks from the Magical Dining menu. 4 filet mignons and 2 upgraded bone-in ribeyes. All were cooked to specified doneness and delicious. Appetizer salads were generous and dressings amazing. Drinks were high but good. Sides of mashed potatoes (soupy) and brussels sprouts were okay. I had onion soup and another had lobster bisque which put us over the top but had to sample. My steak came lukewarm and I asked to try their steak sauce. A table mate shared hers which turned out to be very vinegary and mine didn't arrive until half my steak was gone. By this time, I was full and didn't eat the rest of the steak or use the condiment size steak sauce.

All in all the meal was good and worth the upgrade Magical Dining $60 price. Disappointed in table on a slow night and that server split bottle of wine between all 3 couples without asking. I only took a sip to taste it and was charged for 1/3 of the bottle. We are dear friends and they owe me a drink at our next dinner out. Also was charged $4 for steak sauce which came late and I didn't use. This charge wasn't noticed until I got home. All charges should have been explained. Sorry Molly, you dropped the ball on that, otherwise service was cheerful if not the most attentive.

Went twice for magical dining. Steak the first time which was excellent, and returned to try the double cut pork chops which was great.and the pecan pie was a great finish!

Filets were great. That was the only thing that was great. Sides were subpar. Brussell sprouts were terrible. Desserts were subpar. Never expected "chocolate" bread pudding! Not a fan. Was not worth the price.

Oh my gosh where can I start I picked the restaurant for Magical dining for my birthday making the reservations this easy the parking during the weekend with easy and free. The ambience was amazing my server pay extra attention to my special occasion made me feel very special and always gave up update on our food because it was so busy that Saturday. The food was great the filet mignon was cooked perfectly the mashed potatoes was excellent and when it comes to my vegetables brussel sprouts my besties was debating about the brussel they didn't like it and they didn't want to eat it but to their surprise was cooked perfectly and they ate every bit. I would definitely come back again thank you for making my birthday special

Feels like a secret spot we have all to ourselves. Apparently an undiscovered treasure. Delicious food, great atmosphere!
