Great local watering hole. Looking for a late night party check this out. Prices are good to and locals are friendly. Just watch out for Steven… don’t trust him!

Happy birthday to the owner.unfortunately the only good thing we heard for the 20 mins we were there.sign outside clearly stated kitchen open and although the place was pretty much empty upon arrival instead of hearing the bartender say “welcome folks! Kitchen id closed but the bar isn’t “ would have saved me dealing with the super boring bartender as he meticulously checked our ids and proceeded to explain the kitchen person is the closer but also the opener, and since they close 4am the guy obviously only slept like 3 hrs so since is hos bday (YES! “Kitchen guy” “opener” “closer” all are the same person) the owner who obviously was way too tired so closed the kitchen before 3pm.the worst is how ridiculously unbothered and unfriendly this bartender is regardless of how much u cater to us boring locals u should remember ur doors are open for business TO ALL… def not eve trynna go back.try Overseas 2 mins away, OUTSTANDING SERVICE by Andy and amazing food.:)

Just had their lunch for the first time today, why did I wait so long. Food was amazing. Had the BLT, can't remember the last time I couldn't finish one, but this one was BIG, and delicious.

I am 21 and have a valid South Carolina Id the bar tender looked at it for two seconds the said “no not taking it it’s cut weird” i also had my fishing license that has my dob on it and he wouldn’t even look at it. Was there for 4 hours the night before and had a blast with 5 cops sitting outside

Great locals bar in Marathon! Perfect for a quick lunch spot and even better for drinks at night! They have a liquor store next door aswell.
Live music and great atmosphere for locals!

Beer was priced right and shots were chilled and quick and great service!

If i had a week to live. I'd spend 6 days at the monkey.

Best dive bar in the universe

My mom visited this establishment on April 15th and got discriminated against and they lied about who she is as a person. Is this seriously the place you want to go to? An unsafe establishment? I hope you see into yourself and never give this place a visit they are disgusting and vile.

I’m giving it 5 stars. Haven’t been there yet, but the good and bad reviews let me know it’s my place. I need to know which bars the milquetoast bad-reviewers go to so I don’t go there. Hilarious! Take your kids to Disney if you don’t like smoke and there aren’t any high chairs for your kids Xanthe and Oliver. I’m stopping with my wife on our vacation for sure. I’ll update the review in a couple weeks. See you soon!

It’s a great locals bar. Fun people good staff. Great price on drinks. They have food but did not try anything. Just a good fun local bar and people.

“Duck” from brass rail denied my legitimate ID because he hasn’t seen a Colorado ID card. He had his UV light but he hasn’t seen anything aside from his lame bar, and clearly doesn’t know how to use his ID tools. Monroe county PD and I will see you in the morning “duck”!

Not one to do alot of complaining but this would be the last place on earth I would go shoot pool at. And the bar tenders are worse than the people playing pool. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE REVAMPED MORESO THAN THE NEW OWNER KNOWS. LOVE THE FOOD DURING THE DAY THO!

Had always heard bad things about the place but it seemed OK. Just a basic bar. No 'Island feel'. Only thing going for it is it's open later than most if you are looking for a night cap.
