Bright Now! Dental & Orthodontics, Brandon FL

As a new patient I went in for a cleaning. The appointment was at 8 a.m. And I didn't leave until 10: 45. The staff, including the dentist stood around and joke about birthday and ages, made arrangements for days off in December, everything but wait on me in an efficient manner. I will not recommend not return to that facility.

My visit was a good one. Always a pleasant experience. They are thorough, professional and nice.

Highly recommend! I have LOTS of anxiety about going to the dentist, the Dr. Alexander Marrero-Plasencia and his assistant made me feel comfortable, they are friendly, very professional, supportive and always willing to answer a lot of questions.
Excellent staff, service, and ease of scheduling.

The hygienist is super nice!
I didn't have to wait so long this time. But I was very disappointed with the hygienist assistant she was very rude to me didn't even greet me.
Also the chair where you get the x-rays done is completely ripped and very uncomfortable.
The front desk staff is friendly but the place really needs some maintenance

I have 2 complaints about the Brandon, FL office: they do not provide any advice and they do not value my time. I selected this place for orthodontics work because they do both braces and plastic retainers and I wanted to hear the pros and cons of both options. They were not able to provide any advice and directed me to the plastic option. I now regret this decision and wish I had done my research before making the decision. They just think they know what’s best for me and don’t think they need to discuss it with me. They decided to also correct an underbite that I didn’t know I had, and I’m now always uncomfortable, no matter how I position my jaws. Maybe I actually needed this done but I would have liked to discuss it. I had my cleaning done there and they put antibiotics in between my teeth. I had never had that done and they looked at me weird when I questioned why I needed antibiotics.
Every visit takes much longer than needed. It takes 20 minutes to just hand me over the next 5 retainers and check that the next one fits fine. A cleaning takes anywhere between 90 and 120 minutes. Even if you arrive early, you always wait way past your appointment time before they call you. I’m now stuck with them until the end of my orthodontics treatment but I will look for a different place after this treatment.
I gave 2 stars because the actual work they do may be fine (I haven't gone there long enough to judge), but the interaction with the customer is awful.

It's been very hard for me to find a dentist I like and trust near me. I had a great experience and I felt confident that they were treating me like a patient and not just another revenue stream.

What an utter and sad excuse for a company. The receptionist, whose name is Abraham, was completely clueless and had no idea of how to obtain the correct information for services. He gathered all of my insurance information for over 20 minutes, only to be told that they do not offer the service I initially called about. What a complete joke and waste of my time. Please do not go here.

This review is for Bright Now dental office in Brandon, FL. This office is an extremely busy one. Much too busy as far as I'm concerned. I had an appointment for dental work that had been previously discussed. The verification process to confirm work for the day only took a few moments. However, I ended up not being called back to a chair until nearly an hour after my appointment time. Then I waited another 2 hours for the work to begin. Work including numbing the area took less than 20 minutes. Too long! If you value your time on you day off, don't come here.

I have tried to call and they never answer their phone. They let it go to voicemail for the last 3 months. I call to verify my kids appointment or get the number to their credit company to verify the balance or verify payoff options for the balance. Most recently I arrived on time for my kids appointment and it was standing room only.
I understand the dentist only comes one day week because they probably go to their other bright now locations but I had to wait 30 minutes and ask when was my appointment before they finally said I would be next.
Horrible service when I have to wait additional 30 minutes and the phone can be answered.

We switched to this location due to poor service elsewhere and the difference is day and night. The staff is so helpful and the techs, hygienist, and dentist are very nice and reassuring. There was very little waiting at the appointment time. The place is very professional and our family couldn’t be more pleased.

First visit took about an hour to be seen. While waiting in the lobby a lady's service dog was parking at other customers. My main issue was that a customer after me was seen before me. Then when finally called back after waiting so long, I only got to see the dentist for a few minutes and I really didn't understand all of his recommendations which was frustrating. After he left I was told to wait, which I tried to do but it seemed like the staff wasn't really organized so unfortunately I had to leave in order to get back to work. I wasn't really happy with my first visit/appointment with Bright Now Dental & Orthodontics.

This was my first visit to BrightNow Dental in Brandon and I found everyone that I encountered, from the front desk to the Dentist, to be extremely nice, accommodating and knowledgeable.l look forward to a continued relationship with this Office!
2023 Update: still great dental service and customer care!

My first appointment I missed, but Alexa was so encouraging and kind when we spoke. After we spoke I could 'feel' her smile as we spoke to reschedule me.
Once I arrived, I met Alexa the wonderful voice on the phone. I had to complete some more documents before seeing a technician. Jatdie was my second point of contact and her professional attitude and customer care was an extension of Alexa's.
Once Dr. Moreno (may be misspelled) entered after about a 10 minutes wait from the x-rays to him entering, I was very satisfied. Lastly, the cost of my services and future (proposed) services were explained in detailed, and written in an itemized format. Outstanding Customer Care on my first visit.

The team is always friendly and helpful when I come in. They call me in to see the doctor in a timely manner. I am very satisfied with the service there. So I say thank you, thank you and thank you!

Dental asst n Dental hygienist were both very professional, experienced, explained everything and options. Appointment scheduling also very easy. Very friendly staff.

It was very understanding what they did they did a good job it was nice smile they was very nice and very understanding what they was doing I can't wait to go back home July 5th to get my teeth fixed thank you so much everyone there you are a very good job that you do thank you

Frankly, the service is second to none from the time you arrive until the time you leave. I have nothing but positive feedback to share with you. I would recommend your office to anyone who asked me for dental treatment.

I have been a patient at this office for years and had an appointment (made six months prior) to have my teeth cleaned. I was still in the lobby 45 minutes after my appointment time “waiting for a seat” and was told it would still be another 15 or 20 minutes to wait. My time is just as valuable as the dentist, hygienist, etc. I do not recommend unless you have half a day to sit and wait for service.
