Brookdale Colonial Park, Sarasota FL

My experience there was horrible hands down one of the worst jobs nobody looks after their residents everybody cares for themselves please do not send your people here unless you don't want them to be looked after properly and the management is horrible Capital H

The staff made transition in their facility very easy. This has been a positive experience for me and my mother.

The first thing you'll notice is that the residents at Colonial Park are at home! They take pride and ownership in their community. When you look around you see the friendships they've made with each other and with the staff. The activities director is amazing and really listens to what the residents want to do to and makes it happen and provides a full list of social and healthy activities! The longevity of the staff truly sets this community apart from the others. Colonial Park is a seasoned community with staff who have the knowledge & skill to provide excellent care, activity and engagement for your loved one! If you are looking for a place that your loved one can really feel the contentment of being home.look no further. Colonial Park - the home where the heart is!

One year ago, our family suddenly found ourselves searching for an assisted living residence for our parents. After touring several locations, we found Brookdale Colonial Park to be a great fit. Our family has been in the Sarasota area for over 40 years and the Brookdale Location is ideal. I have worked in the medical field for decades in Sarasota and the care and compassion that Brookdale Colonial Park offers is one of their strongest assets. We have another family member at a different assisted living facility and the care at that one does not come close to what our parents receive. The small family atmosphere that is at this location is comforting and makes for an easy transition from a private residence to community living. The staff are compassionate and honestly care about the residents.

My experience has been that their standard operating procedure is to get the patient hooked on Zanax and other drugs in order to have cause for providing expensive additional (extra) care, which costs a great deal of money. Do your due diligence before deciding on Brookdale for your mother, father, or anyone you care about. Their specialty is creating drug zombies.

I have worked with this building for more then five years and now I have the pleasure of running this community. It has come a long way since when I first saw it to today. We have AWESOME caring associates who treats everyone here like family and our residents are always smiling! If you have not seen us in awhile I personally invite you to come for happy hour, which occurs everyday from 3 to 4, I also encourage you to try lunch or dinner on us.
