The staff is so rude, it’s 630 and they close at 7. They forgot to mute me and I heard them talking smack about why patients wait until now to call in. And this is for the referral department since y’all wanna be disrespectful. EVERYTIME I go to the Hollywood location it’s a complete mess. Last and final time I went there I spent over 3 hours there to see the doctor and get labs. Shout out to Erika Yu she’s the only reason I stay with this company

They rarely (if ever) answer the phone.
Very long wait for your scheduled appointments.
Overall poor (non-medical) service.

The person in charge of referrals is so stubborn that she would not even listen to an agent from Humana Medicaid on how authorizations for OBGYN patients work. She's been "doing this for years" (clearly) and will not listen despite the Humana Medicaid handbook even listing that OBGYN becomes the primary for all referrals during pregnancy. This place DOES NOT specialize in OBGYN care.

During our conversation it became clear that she had listened to my three voicemails regarding the situation but did not call me back delaying an important referral and prescription. Not something you want to be worrying about while pregnant.

I will be filing a grevience with Humana against this place and changing OBGYN offices. I had the same insurance and went to Mount Sinai during my last pregnancy. I never had an issue with authorizations or referrals. Just this place because she thinks she knows it all, and is unwilling to learn new things.

Is there a reason why it says they are open until 5: 00 pm? But no one has answered the phones all day. Whoever is running this place is a joke. Making an appointment here is already difficult. If they don’t want to work, then quit. I’m sure other people who need a job would be more than willing to answer the phones and take appointments like a doctors office should.

Absolutely horrible. I called for a week and a half to try and get a referral so I ended up having to drive there in person. The nurses I had were nice but I sat in there for 4 hours to get a referral. The AC was Broken and they were closing the building with me still waiting. One lady finally came over to help me out and apparently no one processed the request the entire time I was there.another nurse was very rude to another man who was also waiting exceptionally long for his paperwork. Everyone seemed quite disorganized and no one knew who was supposed to be covering things

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I CALLED TO CHECK THE STATUS ON MEDICAL RECORDS REQUEST. THEY LET ME IN HOLD FOR 25 MINS ANF WHWN SOMEONE PICK THE PHONE. I STATED THAT WAS LONG TIME WAITING FOR HELP, SHE SSID THAT IM NOT THE INLY PERSON WAITING AND IF I WANT CAN CALL BACK LATER. I REQUEST SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER AND SHE LET ME FIR ANOTHER 40 MINUTES THEM SOMEONE HANG UP.
MY QUESTION IS WHAT TYPE IF HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS IS THAT PLACE?

I have mixed feelings about this place, I didn't wait too long I was the first appointment after lunch. I had some concerns and I felt like I spoke with the medical assistant longer than I did with the Dr himself. I felt a little dismissed and uncomfortable to even discuss further what I wanted to. It was like the Dr was on a time limit even though I didn't see any other patients waiting, I haven't seen a PCP in years and I wanted to address things, ask, discuss, but felt pressured that I was on some time limit or something.

I hate This office with a passion! They never answer the phone, they have you on long holds. They don’t call you with your lab results. They are absolutely pathetic but not Dr. De Leon, i absolutely love her and only stayed for her!

Horrible. Extremely inconsiderate with people’s time. They’re clearly over booking to maximize profits but are clearly lacking the most basic patient care. Front desk is rude and unprofessional. I have been waiting for 1: 30 hour already. Haven’t even seen the dr yet. Just awful. Would give a negative 5 stars if I could.

The staff is friendly but why do we have to wait over 30 minutes in the waiting room to finally get called in and have my kids height and weight. Then get sent to another room to wait another 30 minutes for the doctor to see them for 5 mins and be sent home. Mind you I was one time. I could understand a little more if I was late but I was a little early.

Upon changing my insurance this office was assigned to me as my PCP. Instead of changing it, I gave them a shot being that I needed immediate surgery for my forearm that had been broken for over 6+ months.
My initial new patient visit went pretty well and I seen a lot of potential in this place, but it has been downhill ever since. An orthopedic at the University of Miami performed my surgery and they have been going through hell with this office to get authorizations.
They delayed the process for my initial visit to the orthopedic, then they almost caused my surgery to be rescheduled, and now my post-op x-ray appointment for tomorrow is being rescheduled, ALL due to no authorization by 3 PM. (**NOTE SHE'S BEEN CALLING ALL WEEK**)
Today both me and UHealth have been calling this office literally ALL day. She spoke to someone this morning, and has since to hear back after calling numerous times and leaving voicemails. Major inconvenience!

I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease over 6 years ago, and I was looking for a good PCP who would listen to my symptoms and care about my overall well being. After shuffling around from doctor to doctor, I went to Broward Community Family Health clinic. I didn't know which doctor I was going to see, until a nurse suggested Dr. Carmen De Leon. She's been my doctor for many years since, and still is today. She listens to her patients and cares about my well being. I know that every time I have an appointment, my concerns will be addressed. I haven't been to another PCP since, and I'm very happy with everything she's done for me. I recommend her to everyone I know.

Today is my first time here. I arrived at 10 sharp (they gave an appointment for 10: 30am but told me to arrive 30 minutes before to fill up papers, so I did) I am so dissatisfied with the front desk, staff and manager. The place was already crowded when I arrived, so I thought of course they must have several doctors. So after waiting for almost an hour and a half went to the front desk to ask when am I supposed to see the doctor (this appointment is for my father a 72 years old with Parkinson’s) so a nurse came to tell me that they have all this people and they are only 2 practitioners. So obviously they are over booking patients.
I decided to talk to the manager and explained about the situation and even told her that I asked the staff about a fax that they should have ready for when I see doctor De Leon.
This fax was sent to this office a week ago, from another doctors office because my father has been scheduled a surgery and some tests needs to be performed by this doctor. The staff told me they did not received. However last week the professionals that sent the fax called to let me know that they successfully sent it. So I called them again and kindly asked them to resent the fax (this time I was giving a second fax number from Dr. -Carmen de Leon office just in case the other was not working right)
The professionals again sent it. They kept us waiting and waiting so after another 40 minutes I requested to call with the manager she kept on telling that they haven’t received it and was blaming the other office.while I was in her office she is calling my doctors office and her called was answered they told her that they have sent it twice, she is insisting that nothing was received and few seconds after a nurse open the door with my fax in hands (they finally found it!) Now is 1: 23pm and finally they are performing one of the tests but I been told that I will need a referral for another test and come back to receive his clearance.
In regards Doctor Carmen de Leon I have to say that she was nice with my father and sweet which I appreciate. The student that came before her was really professional and sweet as well.

This is my second visit to this centre, and I must say, am still impressed with the service rendered me from the front office straight through to the personnel in the back offices. I would like to extend my gratitude to Dr. Laine my PCP, who from day one has made me so comfortable and a part of the decision making pertainent to my well-being. Also to the beautiful women who assisin making my visits here awesome. Thanks to Myriam, Natasha, letha, Delilah, Lorette, Mary and last but not least Ms. Karan.

I am a patient of this office for around 5 years. The dr I see always is Dr De León. She is a sweetheart and the only reason I still go there. The front desk is horrible. They are overbooking so the waiting time can be hours. Today I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to go in the room. Plus if you call nobody answer the phone or if they do they give you appointment in 1 week. I am sick now.in 1 week I can be dead. So the best way is to go personally. One more time I tell you: Dr De León is the only reason i still go! She is amazing!

Having just read some of those negative reviews, my first thought was that they must be be referring to a different office because I personally never experienced any of these horrible stories being claimed.
Our experience with Dr DeLeon was extremely delightful. We found her to be very patient, caring & compassionate. She really took her time to get to know my mother and ascertain all of her issues during the first visit which lasted well over an hour in order to determine the best plan of action. My mom has been under her care for the past few months as her primary care physician.
In our experience everyone in the office has been very professional. I've called several times they've always picked up, and have been courteous towards us.

Myriam has been assisting my mother as well and we found her to be extremely professional friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend Broward Community & Family Health Center.
