Broward County Self Storage, Fort Lauderdale FL

The prices for storage is very fair and lower than most places. I feel like my things are safe and the accessable hours are reasonable (6a - 11p), but don't stay after 11p because you and your car will be stuck inside.

A friendly, courteous and professional staff who are easily accessible as well as peace of mind knowing my valuables are secure. Those are the reasons why I chose Broward County Self Storage.

So far, so good. I just rented my storage unit last week so I don't have much to say yet. But I can tell you that because of work, I had a hard time getting to the office to fill out the paperwork during their business hours. So Alex offered to email me the paperwork for me to fill out and send back. Then offered to meet me separately on the weekend to view the unit and give me the key! He was very accommodating. Also, although I have not utilized this service yet, he also offered to allow us to use his motorized lift to get our large, heavy pieces of furniture up onto the 2nd floor where my unit is so we don't have to carry everything up the stairs! How great is that!? I hope that works out when the time comes. He told us that he just purchased the place 4 months ago and is making improvements like putting in electricity in some units and monthly pest control. These were major selling points for me so fingers crossed that everything continues to go smoothly! So far, great place, great price, great staff!

1.items were stolen out of my unit after renting for 8 years - and now they want to steal the rest
2.roaches were all over the place, literally thousands, not exaggerating
3.owners said they would look at video about my stolen items (10MAY21)
4.08SEP21, finally, after asking for investigation updates weekly and never getting a response in person or mail, they said I now needed to pay for the 6 months, $600, to access to remaining belongings - and no research done
5.then they threatened me with the police - below is email exchange where I was willing to pay $100 of it even though shouldn't have to pay anything

I am willing to pay $100. If I were told I had to pay 1 day after I left, I would have paid for that 1 day. Being told 6 months later, while you researched the videos, that I now need to pay for the 6 months is deceptive.

They are liars with their response. Employees likely stole my things and won't release the video tapes. Worst place ever rented from. 8 years with them and they treat me as the criminal.

Best ever shopping for storage experience that I even has. I was skeptic for friend of mine have told how poor the quality of service was and they told me few things good about the property but with the new management in place, the property has turn 360 degrees. The Property manager showed me the Units and explained to me which size was more suitable for my storage needs, he helped me choose between different prices. A+ experience. I can not wait for the day to move in.

Alex Vergara the manager has thusfar treated us fairly and professionally. He keeps the premises clean, and is always available and accommodating.
Overall a good experience.
