BubbaQue's BBQ - Crystal River

Hubby and I decided to give them a try since we were hungry for bbq big mistake this place is a tourist trap. Small flavorless portions. Pulled pork had no flavor took it home for my dog, brisket was on the dry side but edible with lots of bbq sauce. We ordered the brisket and pulled pork combo and opted for an additional side. I chose mac and cheese and collard greens. The mac and cheese like the rest of the meal lacked flavor so i asked if i could get something else.the potatoe salad.that was heavy on the mayo and again lacking flavor.asked if i could just get corn on the cobb xant mess that up.and was refused told I would have to pay extra after already paying 3 for an extra side so basically 6 bucks for a Cobb of corn I said no I will just eat my greens, which was the only thing enjoyed. Then without any signage to notify customers they charge you a 2.50 percent fee if using credit or debit card. This info is obtained when you get the check at the end of your meal. To get their salad bar they advertise you have to add another 6.99 to your meal price. The food was luke warm and mediocre at best. I would reccomend Oysters restuarant where you can get real southern cooking with large portions at great price.

Really liked this place. We stopped before we left Clearwater. The barbecue was excellent and the service was great. Recommended if you are in the area.

Buffalo Mac n Cheese was amazing! Perfect antidote to the misty afternoon.

Our waitress was extremely nice. The salad bar was great. My husband said his pulled pork was very good. We will definitely be going back.
