Budget Car Rental, Key Largo FL

I had to switch my pick up location from Miami International airport to here at the the last minute. Nash, the manager, made good on a difficult situation. Instead of making me wait, Nash picked me up at my airbnb and took me to the rental car.great customer service, Thanks Sir!

The operator was friendly, fair, and thorough. I appreciated all his efgorts to make sure the damage to the car from the privious renter did not fall falsely to me in any way. Thank you again sir for your business professionalism.

Best rental car office around. Nash is a stand up guy and always takes care of us. We've been using Budget/Avis Key Largo for 6 plus years now, at least once a month, sometimes more and not one bad experience. Nash is the best!

Had a reservation and no car available when we got there. Not helpful attendant and left us in a pretty difficult situation without a car.

The car was in good shape and I had no issues with the guy at the desk. The problem is that I am pretty sure the guys he uses for detailing stole something I left in the car. After dropping it off I called a few hours later and was informed nothing was turned in.

I wish there was a zero star option. Despite booking a month in advance and being allowed to check in online in advance, on our arrival at Budget in Key Largo there was no car for us. Totally uninterested lady who really didn’t care and said it happened all the time! Most annoyingly we had pre-paid and the lady on the counter couldn’t issue the refund saying we had to do it on the phone! Definitely won’t be using this company again.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would, this place is by far the worst budget rental company franchise in the system, cars are absolutely filthy, guy told us the car was full then when we got in it had a half a tank, we were charged for the gas on return, the guy that runs this place is a joke, he has no social skills no personality nothing he couldn’t care less, and to top it off it’s the worst most decrepit building in the keys don’t waste your time

I will never ever rent from this location again. I am not even sure about Budget again at this point. The guy behind the counter was rude, uncaring, and disrespectful. I went to pick up a rental car I booked about a month ago. Show up and find out the minivan I reserved wasn’t there and so I had to get a very small SUV. I asked repeatedly about the van or at least a larger SUV, but was meet with rudeness and someone who clearly didn’t care that I rented a VAN for a reason. He kept telling me how it was an “upgrade” from the van. Acting as if he is doing me a favor… Then when I kept pressing him, he gleefully told how there were 7 other people coming in that day that were not getting the vehicles they reserved also. Somehow, he thought that was going to make things better. So, he was happy to say they were screwing over at least 8 people in just that day.

We had 4 adults, plus a week’s worth of luggage to haul back to the airport. It’s a good thing I didn’t have 6 or 7 people expecting the ride. It was hardly large enough for 4. We had another couple in our group with a car, that took some of our bags as they didn’t all fit in the “upgraded” small SUV.

It was an awful experience all the way around.

Reserved a car here. Called to confirm. ‘Nash’ informed me that he had no way of knowing if he would have cars on Saturday, two days from now. He said, ‘if’ they had a car I would have it. I tried to repeat back to him what he said to confirm and he just starts yelling at me. Told me I was being evasive. He told me I knew that no one had any cars this month. However, we have rented cars elsewhere this month in Key Largo. He was extremely rude and wouldn’t let me ask questions. He hung up on me. I never raised my voice or anything. I guess no one can do business in the keys anymore, at least according to this location. What horrible customer service. This was at 8: 45 am so can’t blame it on a long day of customers giving him a hard time. I guess he doesn’t need a job. I would give zero stars if I could.

We are locals and use this company all the time. The guy behind the counter was super polite and very helpful and made sure we got a good deal. I highly recommend this rental car company. Thank you

I would give 0 stars! Guy in the front desk has zero Costumer Service Experience He’s rude and uneducated. Mister Mustache thinks he’s doing me a favor, absolutely disappointing. Stay away!

I called in ahead of time to check if cars were available. The man at the front desk (bigger man, mustache and balding) quoted me 500 dollars for a week over the phone. I took an Uber over to the location & when I arrived he raised the rental price to 792 for the week. I checked online and the price was 362. I asked the man why he wouldn't honor the price listed online and he said we don't work with Expedia. I called budget and asked if they would honor the price they said yes then the man at the same desk so no I already booked the car. All in all the man was clearly being shady. Called over to the enterprise and they not only honored the price but they guy at the front desk was very nice & respectful.

Absolute garbage. Guy was late opening the store…when I asked about my truck I rented his answer was “we ain’t got it”. When I asked why not he stated he didn’t know anyone rented a truck…so basically failing at his job on all fronts. His solution was to call me if one ever shows up. This store and it’s employee is trash don’t go…if you own this place it’s time for some house cleaning.

Horrible! They should let you know AT THE TIME of rental that the car type you rented is SOLD OUT. I asked the counter clerk if they had just sold out and he said "no it's been days" so why? Why would you let someone rent the car, have a coworker take you there during yours and their lunch time to make you waste your time!

Budget Key Largo big shout out to Ness. He was very helpful. I had a very bad experience at the Budget Miami Airport. Very poor customer service nobody knows what's going on. Lady at the counter was helpful. I had to get a new car because first one was damaged. Second one was also damaged and they told me I had to take that car. As I was driving to the Keys the car rattle so loud because the grill was falling off. When I went to talk to Ness he told me he doesn't have any vehicles available to but if I come back the next day he'll exchange me with a new car. I'm very happy to get a new vehicle. Thanks again Ness.

Budget Key Largo was amazing and so helpful! I accidentally failed to change drop off location through Expedia! I was on hold with Expedia for over 40 mins trying to fix it only for them to say they would be charging us an additional $1000. Nash was so helpful and found a plan that would work for us with limited inventory! So thankful! Nash you saved our vacation!

DO NOT RENT from the Budget Key Largo location.

Unhelpful, rude, has no interest in helping customers.

This is a franchise location and they hide behind that and use it as an excuse as to not help resolve customer issues.
