Budget Car Rental, Sarasota FL

Watch your bill. Overcharged 80$ for car 1 hour late. It was there on time, staff was busy and checked my car in 30 min late and I got charged for it. Have also been charged for gas when returning full tank. Take pictures. Annoying to have to call and waste time for these consistent overcharging of bills.

Arrived somewhat late at SRQ airport but Budget was open so a pretty quick check in was done. We didn’t have a walk thru on the convertible, but we figured everything out ok and had a nice time every time we drove around Sarasota with the top down. Good clean car and plenty of room for our luggage and beach stuff when we did that. The return was fast They were quite busy when we took it back and they whisked right thru. We were done in no time. Enjoyed the car so much we added a couple more days to the rental period. Will recommend Budget and use them again ourselves.

Waited an hour and 20 minutes in line to pick up the rental car that I had reserved and completed all online paperwork for. This is unacceptable. I lost over an hour of my first day of vacation because of this. The counter was understaffed and the staff that were working kept disappearing.

My experience with Budget was excellent other than wishing the inside of the front windshield had been cleaned. It made for a tiny bit of difficulty in seeing.

Both the pickup and return of the vehicle was incredibly quick and easy. Staff members at both locations were very friendly and helpful.

I rented a car at the Sarasota airport and the staff were friendly and efficient. Very easy drop off when I returned the car as well.

This was the worst experience I ever had renting a car. It took 2 hours just to get a vehicle that I had prepaid for. The people behind the dest had no idea what they were doing. It took 2 of them to get my paperwork done. I was told by one that I couldn't add a driver to my contract if the other person is also renting a car. He said you can't have your name on two contracts. After calling there manager we found out you can. But they never told me that they added the other person back on. There for I didn't use the other driver. So I wasn't a bunch of money adding a driver I didn't know was on there. It was unbelievable how long it took to get and car and how much the workers didn't know. The workers also were rude and talked down to me even though they were wrong about my contract. The car i was given was very nice and clean inside. The vehicle was the only good thing i can say happened. Besides that It was horrible experience and will never recommend any one to use this company.

They incorrectly charged me $161 for gas when I left the tank full as requested at pick up. Had to submit a claim now wait for it to be processed. I’m sure they do this to other customers as several will not notice the extra charges or submit a claim. That’s shameful.

Great experience renting from Budget in Sarasota FL and returning in Jacksonville FL. I have rented from Budget many times over the years and am always happy with the staff and the vehicles.

Terrible customer service. Long lines, unhappy workers. I will use a different company next time

The second time the vehicle I rented had a dead battery and you wanted to charge ME $120 to jump it. I will never rent from you again

Needed info about my upcoming rental and received exactly what I inquired about. Satisfied with the response.

Was charged bogus charges; said I was late a day but early. Paid for the fuel program but charge $100 fee and unlimited miles but charged miles. Even showed my military ID as I was given military discount. Went from $238 to $564.

Good service on this trip, we prepared for a better rate and the whole charge when we returned the car was $113.00
We prepared 149.00 and it’s non Refundable
Does this make sense at all?

The Budget drop off at the Miami Marriott on Le Juene RD is the best. Easy and the staff is the best.

We fly frequently to Sarasota and always rent from Budget as competitively priced, great selection of vehicles, super staff both in the terminal as well as at drop off, and convenient. Thank you and see you on our next trip to SRQ!
