Budget Car Rental, Winter Park FL

I had a great experience at this Budget location — it was quick, the car was spotless, and it was definitely an upgrade. The gentleman I dealt with was very very nice.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Just be aware that this is a small location and they do not always have all the categories of cars - you may reserve a luxury car and then be informed they don't have it when you check in.

I made my reservation on the website and paid for it ahead and when i went to this location i was told they dont have a car for me. I am from canada and I will never ever book a car with budget again. Stay away from this location. They are crooks running a big scam. When i was at the location i saw 5 other customers that came after me who made online reservation and paid $30 for taxi to get to the location and was told there is no car available. We called customer service and they said the only thing they can do is cancel the reservation. Do not book budget.

I am giving one star because these guys are running a scam. They will take your money and book your reservation and when you go there to pickup the car they wont have the car. Dont book budget go somewhere else. Do not book budget its gonna be a terrible experience. I paid for the reservation and went to the location and was told they dont have car for me.

They rent cars they don't have, so you pay in advance, you arrive there and guess what? There is no car! You have to wait indefinitely, hope that a car will arrive. No assistance whatsoever. I tried to cancel my reservation and I've been told that having back my money could take several days. I really do not understand how something like this is legal.

This place is a scam. We reserved a car online the day before and paid in advance. When we showed up, there was no car. In fact, there was at least one other guy who had the same problem having made a reservation, but there was no car for him either.
The staff were of no help in trying to help us contact other Budget rental to find available cars. They told us to call customer service which was a joke (you need to navigate a byzantine answering machine process without talking to anyone).

Oh, and good luck trying to get a refund. The staff doesn't issue refunds and told us to call customer service for a refund!

Jeffrey, De’Yanna and the heavy set guy (I’ll get his name soon) who drove vehicle around. All 3 lack the most basic customer service skills there is. How about opening your mouths when you see customers or saying anything when someone says Thank You. They’re clearly way too comfortable, lazy and there for an easy check. They don’t move with no sense of urgency nor care, you will NEVER get your vehicle at the time you reserved it for. You’re at the mercy of their time.

Nobody is ever at the counter for both check in and out. Hell when you do actually see them, you can’t tell they’re staff. When Jeffrey walked in and straight to the back. I thought he was a random guy. Corporate needs to look into this location and put cameras in the lobby. So they can see how customers are just standing there and nobody is at the counters. This was my first time doing business here. Enterprise staff would never operate as janky as people here.

So disappointed in this location. The manager (Jeff?) lacks basic customer service skills and was as unprofessional as he looked. I understand these folks are out there cleaning cars during the day. But our local Tampa office never appeared so slovenly or behaved so unprofessionally. We had been loyal to Budget for years because they offer an awesome discount to Costco members. Not any more-not in this area, at least. Went over to Enterprise where everyone was super friendly, dressed appropriately, and professional.

Budget is the worst. Ordered a 4 door midsize truck to hold 5 people & they only had two door extended cab with no jumpseats & it had bucket seats SO it only carried one passenger! I asked for one of the two full size vans they had on the lot but wanted &800 more!

Customer service sucks! 2 min delay was charged an extra day! Gave me wrong number to call to complain!

I love budget I would love it very nice cheap rice the customer service I have some the end at the end of my questions they listen to my questions answered all my questions budget is the best place in not too expensive thank you budget

I had a great experience at this location. All of the employees I dealt with were kind and pleasant to talk to. My car ran well and gave me a smooth trip. Highly recommend.

The worst service in my life! I rented a car for six months and I got it with barely half a tank, the guy charged me and my card without authorization! While I told the guy that I was looking for a picture to show him that I did not receive the vehicle with a full tank as stated in the contract, and he simply closed the contract and charged me for the fuel that was missing. In addition to that, I had the vehicle serviced while it was with me and I told him that I didn't have the receipt but I could Show him the charge on the phone through my credit card, the guy was just determined not to help me and insisted on an actual receipt even though I told him that I probably lost it, unfortunately the service was just bad and shameful! I do not recommend using the service of this location!

We have been looking for the address for more than two hours!
They did not update that they had moved address and because of them we missed an important part of our trip! Big disappointment

Adds scam fuel fees when tank is full, receipt provided, and I opted out.

I returned this car after a 1 day rental. I came in and placed the keys and a gas receipt on top of the counter - the employee said they only need the keys. I asked if they needed the gas receipt and they asked if the tank was full, to which I replied yes.

Thought it was all good, until I walked out the door and saw I was charged an ezfuel fee of 15.99 ("under 75 flat fee").

I was able to resolve it after some back and forth on the 1800 number, but the fee should not have been added by the staff in the first place and indicates less than trustworthy practices.
