I have Parkinson’s, and Dr. Burke was the second Physical Therapist I had gone to. The first physical therapist was not very attentive, and just had me in a room with a few other people. Their idea of therapy was to give me a piece of paper and send me home with exercises which did not help me very much.
When I went to Dr. Burke, I was thinking it was going to be more of the same, but I was very encouraged to see how he worked with me one on one. Dr. Burke tailored my PT to me personally, he pushed me when I needed it and told me to hold back when he saw it was too much. One of my biggest problems with Parkinson’s was my unsteadiness, and it was getting more and more difficult for me to get up and down from a sitting position. Dr. Burke was able to really help me strengthen my muscles by doing various exercises, not just in the office, but he would email me specific exercises that I could do at home.that all really helped strengthen me and made a huge difference in my ability to be independent. One thing that was really great, was that he has short videos of each of the exercises he sends not just a piece of paper, so I was able to follow the exercises perfectly. Dr. Burke truly cares about his patience and is able to give great results. I would highly recommend him to anybody needing physical therapy. Thanks Dr. Burke you were always very encouraging and this has really helped my wife and myself to keep me independent. God bless you! T

I was diagnosed back in Sept 2022 with spinal stenosis and herniated discs. I had so much pain from lower back down to back of knee on left side. After my PCP prescribed meds, later MRI, and later sent me to a spinal surgeon for consult, I was ready to do whatever it took to get rid of the pain. I admit I was very skeptical about going to PT as I have family members who have not found PT helpful. I researched many PT therapists and found all 5-star ratings for Dr. Burke. My first visit I could hardly sit for more than 15 min, bend down, ride in a car, sneeze, or cough, without jabbing pain. Dr. Burke kindly took all the time needed to assess my pain points and made it clear that the body is self-healing and all that would be needed was time and consistency in the exercises in order to get blood flowing to the areas that were hurting. He said the pain should start moving up my leg and slowly make way to the origin of the pain (lower back). It's now February and I'm pain free. Dr. Burke was my advocate all along the way and emailed me daily to check progress. I won't say there was not pain during the PT, but it was obvious in the first week that the pain was indeed moving up my leg. I just wish doctors and insurance companies would take time to understand the natural healing process and not assume 2-3 visits would cure me.they are quick to pay for surgeries but I know many who aren't completely pain free after surgeries. I highly recommend Dr. Burke and would go back to him in a heartbeat. Thank you, Dr. Burke!

Posting for my father… I have had low back problems for years and have tried several physical therapy organizations for relief with mixed results. In November of 2021, I was diagnosed with a degenerative spine condition and my neurosurgeon recommended surgery. Rather than risk major surgery, I decided to try physical therapy one more time. Fortunately, I started treatment with Evan Burke at Burke Therapy and Wellness last winter and have had tremendous success. Evan’s approach is to thoroughly evaluate your condition and tailor exercises to your specific needs. As you progress, Evan continually evaluates and modifies your treatment to reflect progress and improvement in motion. I am now at a level of mobility and pain relief I didn’t think was possible just months ago. Chuck L.
