C & G Mobile Homes, Lake City FL

I'm leaving my original review, and editing to add the nightmare of an experience this turned out to be, once they got our down payment, to "reserve" our home!

This has been the worst experience of our lives. Ms Sherry was great, stayed in communication, told us about some of the process, until she got our $10,000 check to "reserve" a home that ended up going to someone else! We literally had to call and text several times before ever hearing back.literally DAYS before we heard back at times! We got more information from the subcontractors she sent, than we ever did from her. And Chris, the owner or owner's son, defends her actions. He claimed to want to help, after I called and explained the dang nightmare we've gone through, and he said he'd take care of us from here on out. Well that lasted 1 day. We sent our service list, which he forwarded to the factory, and told us to refer all other questions to the factory! Stay away at ALL costs. I'd rather have paid more for the same house, than have to tolerate this horrible customer service! I've literally had to shell out hundreds of dollars more because even though she KNEW we had to be out of the place we were staying in by the 10th, in which she assured us we would be in the house by then, no problem. She wouldn't put forth the effort to reach out to all subcontractors in a reasonable time frame, instead of waiting for me to get fed up with being ignored, and lose my temper, and demand that she do her dang job, and get things in motion before we ended up homeless with our 3 children!

Ms Sherry is an absolute doll, and is so amazing through the process of buying our home. 10 out of 10 recommend her! We shopped around in Lake City and C & G by far had the lowest prices we found!

Bought a trailer there 13 years ago every thing was great. Took my Daughter after hurricane in August well thought thing were good till they delivered the Tuesday before Thanksgiving it is December 11th and they still haven't finished so they can move in its ridiculous.

I visited to look at homes with my mother-in-law. The two homes I looked at were spacious and surely overpriced. If I were ever to buy another non site-built home? It would only be a Jacobsen modular home. They are overpriced, too. Due to this being FL and the dreary economic climate that has been brought on by the inept federal government.

AVOID this company. They also own and operate Normandy Mobile Homes. Deceitful and outright dishonest. Zero concern for customer satisfaction.

Great people selling quality- built, affordable homes. There is no nonsense here. Straight shooters that work hard for their customers.

This dealer has the highest quality homes and Chris makes buying easy and his knowledge keeps costs down.

I would certainly recommend C & G Mobile Homes to anyone looking to get a well built home and great customer service. I highly recommend Chris Williams to handle the details as he follows up and makes sure things are done right. He made sure all our problematic issues were resolved to our satisfaction and he is a pleasure to deal with!

The company will come tare up your property and never repaired it. Once they get paid, their attitude changes. Beware the words "I know a guy". I have tree damage, ruts in my driveway, and a pile of crushed lime where my driveway used to be. They put the under ground conduit for electric in the wrong place costing 3400.00 to correct it all. When I said something about I was told i was sending nasty messages. Excuses are the best part. I have covid. I have a sinus infection. The inspector died. The inspector quit before signing off on the septic system. It's all china's fault. Really good at taking your money
