Cactus Jack's Trail Rides, Ocala FL

The location is not far from the highway, but allow a little extra time if coming from Orlando to get there for 830 arrival. Staff was great and accommodating. Pace of ride was slow if that's what you're looking for. Our ride in late Feb was bug free, but due to no rains, the trail did get dusty often. No side-by-side riding was a little bit of a bummer, and trying to keep the horses 6' apart was a bit of a challenge on some of the horses (some of the animals like to test their boundaries). All in all, a pleasant, slow-paced ride that I was ready to end by the time it did (perfect duration).

Ivan was a fantastic horse and a perfect gentleman. Johnny.well.he was OK. Oh guys, I am just kidding. Everything and everyone, including the horses and Johnny, were AWESOME!

This was a very professionally managed trail ride experience. I am a longtime horse owner/rider and this was a trip with my neighbor who does not ride. Very happy with everything! The horses are in great condition, the trails are very interesting and it is a great way to spend a lovely hour, or more, in Florida. John was our lead trailguide and did a superb job keeping us informed, entertained and safe. Highly recommend.

1st time rider! Excellent place! Excellent people and excellent horses! The horses drive like Teslas, just hop on and enjoy the ride. Next step for me is lessons!

My two friends and I went on the 1 1/2 hours trail ride. We also own horses so we know what to look for if horses are not cared for. We were happy to see these horses in great shape! No ribs showing. That’s important to us. The ride focused on safety with
one leader in front and one at end of group. The leader constantly turned around to check on group and told us some funny stories on his interactions with horses. He also took pictures of all the riders. We would highly recommend this trail ride company!

This was such a great experience. Johnny was a fantastic guide and his love for the horses was so obvious.
The horse I rode, River, was great and the trail beautiful! I also loved how well cared for all tne horses were. We are planning to come again next month!

A nice, gentle trail ride through the Florida Pines. Good for beginner and experienced riders for a relaxing time. Our guides, Johnny, and Josh, did a fantastic job.

I would recommend Cactus Jack’s Trail Rides. It was a very relaxing grounding ride enjoying the beauty of nature in Florida. The guide was friendly. He understood the horses very well, and educated us on the plants, trees, and etc around us. He made us all feel comfortable with the horses they chose for all the riders. Can’t wait to go back and bring the family.

Even though we were intermediate horseback riders, they took us on a trail with beginner group and we basically sat on a horse in a line of 10 horses moving at about 2 miles/hr. Waist of time and should not be considered for anyone that wants to actually ride on a horse

Cactus Jacks was so much fun! We took our 6yr old daughter the day after Christmas and although it was 30 degrees out we all had a great time. The guide was entertaining and the horses were all well trained and well taken care of. Definently a great experience for the whole family!

Very nice guides and stable of horses. Trail ride was fine and well coordinated, only drawback being a couple of nearby highways for a little while. Overall was a fun experience
