Best restaurant in key west. If you want a place that has the genuine culinary skill to match the fine dining experience you’re looking for, look no further than this. Wilson was the best server I have had in years!

Great meal in Key West. I highly recommend coming here for dinner. We started out with the she crab soup, Bibb salad and foie gras. Then for dinner I had the appetizer scallops that was amazing and my husband had the swordfish that was perfectly cooked and dessert was the best key lime pie.

I have zero negative things to say. One of the best meals! Every single thing was perfect!

This is fine dining at its best. Nice ambience, creative menu, delicious food, extensive wine list, and great service. The Shrimp with grits was a terrific starter, and the grilled swordfish entree was among the best we've had. The beignettes for desert were perfectly prepared.

We definitely will eat here again the next time we vacation in Key West, and recommend this restaurant for an excellent fine dining experience.

We ate here twice on a recent vacation to Key West. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants. The breast of duck special was the best duck I ever had. The rest of the food was wonderful as well. Terrific service both times. This restaurant is a winner.

Thanksgiving… you have full reservations and number of patrons in advance, yet you are so incompetent you can’t order enough Thanksgiving turkey dinners and run out very early. I’m shocked at how profoundly stupid you have to be to fail this miserably at something so trivial. Pathetic.

Went with a group of 15 and every single person said it was the best meal they’d had in a long time! They even had a vegetarian risotto (off menu) that was incredible! Highly recommend for private groups—they had a great room for a big group. An upscale experience in our otherwise laid back key west weekend!

Update: John, Cafe Marquesa's manager, reached out to me after reading the below review and offered to have us back in the next time we came to Key West. We went back last night and the experience was wonderful. The food was excellent, they have a fantastic wine list, and our server, Carmen, was top notch. John took great care of us and I'm very happy we gave it another chance.we will continue coming back here when we are in town.

My husband and I went to Cafe Marquesa for our anniversary dinner. We tried the tasting menu, and asked for a modification because I don't eat beef. We were first told I could have anything else I wanted from the entree list and my husband could have the filet. Then, our waitress said they couldn't do that after all and we would both need to have the fish. Because the grouper was $30 less than the filet, we asked for the crab cake that normally comes with the filet as a compromise. We also ordered a bottle of wine that was listed on the menu as a 2018 vintage but they brought us a 2019. Our waitress was very nice and said that they would make an adjustment to the bill since it was their last bottle. When we got the bill, we were told that instead of the price adjustment, they "gave us" the crab cake. We could tell this wasn't our waitress' fault, so we didn't get into it, but we were really disappointed by the bait and switch. We spent a lot of money and this just felt cheap and petty. Despite the good food, we will probably not return.

Everyone- food, service (Wilson was an exceptional server!), ambience- was absolutely perfect! From starting with the She Crab soup to the Miso Grouper to the dessert tray, perfect from start to finish! One of the best restaurants I've ever been to!

This place is AMAZING! This is the first time I’ve been here and it’s the best food I have ever experienced! I’m from New Haven CT and we have amazing food from around the world but this doesn’t compare. The waiter Wilson was so sweet and thoughtful. I WILL be coming here again and telling friends and family. Please come! You won’t be disappointed!

Can't say enough about this gem of a restaurant! Every bite of our dinners was exquisite! Creative, thoughtful, well composed dishes. The chef came out to each table to check in with the guests. Service is impeccable with well-trained, personable staff who can lead you through a perfect dining experience. A MUST place to enjoy in Key West!
