20 Great rooms, very comfortable beds. However it's in the middle of nowhere if you don't drive and Uber is not cheap. We waited almost 2 hours for a free shuttle, this we were told would be 45 mins and they offered no explanation as why. However reception offered a free shuttle bus to the cruise ship.
Update 29/12/2022 Since this review I have chosen to stay again. I believe it was a genuine issue causing the delay. My concern was the driver not telling anyone why?
So benefit of the doubt, we booked again.
This Candlewood is super conveniently located near the FLL airport and has a free shuttle too.
The beds and sheets are so super comfortable and good quality. We had a little kitchenette and they have a grill out back to cook on.
You can walk across the street to a grill n bar or there a dollar store and big lots and a win Dixie if ya needed.
We spent one night here after our cruise was over and before flying home, and it was very nice. Clean room, comfortable bed, very close to the airport, and every staff member interaction (front desk and housekeeping) was positive, helpful, and very friendly. We arrived super early, hours before the official check-in time started, yet Juan was able to accommodate us and get us into a room quickly.
My only issue: The toilets are very low, and it would be a plus for the to have seat risers available for use to make for a more disabled customer friendly experience. Everything else was great.
Candlewood suites, everyone that’s running this hotel from the manager to the housekeepers. They all deserve a raise. They all deserve a five-star. They are awesome the best.

Overall the hotel was clean and the front desk staff was very very helpful, especially Alex. However my room (501) reeked of a strong dog odor which I reported. Good thing I was only staying one night.
I've recommend this hotel to all my friends and relatives. I stayed in many hotels by far non can come close to this place. I truly love everything about it from customer service to the cleanest of candlewood suites Fort Lauderdale.and the General manager Mrs Danielle is simply the best

Candlewood Suites is a excellent extended stay hotel. They have an excellent staff, washers & dryers, gym, and it was recently refurbished and upgraded. Great value as well!
Came on a couples vacation and we had a great time. The manager was very helpful and attentive. Great location because of the variety of places to shop within the area. I have no complaints, it was a great trip.
Services were amazing! Great hotel and the amenities are above average. Miss Danielle was very welcoming and helpful when we arrived late to check in, and when we were unable to find the shuttle bus at the airport. I 100% recommend this hotel.
I booked the wrong hotel and came here at 1 am to find a room. Mark, the gentleman at the front desk, totally hooked me up. Great service and gave me a great room. Most People working at this time of night are not the most friendly but he was a pleasure to work with, I will be staying here again the next time I’m in town. The was very spacious, the air conditioning was nice and cold, everything was very clean.
Do not stay at this hotel unless you want to be treated rude and be made to feel demeaned. Danielle the manager obviously has no degree in hospitality or management, no customer service skills. Very racist. Like her power to control. Doesn’t take recommendations well to train all of her staff with the same information to advise residents. If you challenge her she refuses to let you stay and then follows you physically next door to the Holiday Inn to advise them not to allow you to stay. Even called the law to stay with us until we left. Even the law which were very professional, had opinions on her unprofessional behavior. Must feel good to think you have this much power on a minimum wage salary. We we’re only told she had too many issues with us but nothing specific. The only huge issue was her impolite and harsh people skills along with huge Narcissistic behavior. Maybe bc we expected top notch service which is obviously something they cannot or do not want to provide. Anything we requested from the staff was a huge inconvenience for them to stop looking at their cell phone and assist, down to asking for an extra towel.
We went to another location out her tiny power realm and it was as if we had finally gotten top of the line service with a smile and understanding and a thank you for choosing their hotel.
This manger needs to go. Costing the owners a lot of money. Letter to corporate is on the way.
Came in early was allowed to leave our bags until our room was ready. Nice desk help even though it seems they are allowed to use their phones while at the desk so you have to wait to get their attention. If your card doesn't have a chip you cannot use it for the deposit and they don't give out receipts according to Jesus.even though I would have liked a receipt for my records. Furthermore he stated that since it was a prepay they can't tell me if I'll be receiving my full refund if my deposit, I just have to wait 5-7 business days. The shuttle service comes at a round about time.ours was scheduled for 3am but didn't arrive until after that
I'm a Gold Elite Member. This Candlewood location was clean and quiet. Professional, Courteous and Kind Service provided by Jesus and Yasmin at the front desk. Definitely will stay here again.
Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at!
The room was clean, but coffee cups were missing, no conditioner and no breakfast. It appears that people cleaning the room aren't doing a very good job!

Good to know. I have canceled my reservation at your hotel for our return trip and I will never stay at a Candlewood Suites again!
Really nice, it’s like an apartment with kitchen and all. You save a lot of money using the kitchen, also free laundry room, also centric and economic. Only thing missing is a pool.
I had an employee staying there who had all of their belongings removed from the room while they were still booked. The employee received the runaround from the manager, and so did I. After calling ownership or some management level above this woman who replies to reviews here, some items were found, but not all. She has actually had the audacity to respond here that the matter is resolved, when it is not.
When my employee tried to find out the whereabouts of their belongings, the manager went to a “lost and found” but didn’t come back with the belongings. She instead wanted to call the police, to either file a report or as some sort of threat on her part. I note other reviews which indicate she tends to do this. Mysteriously, some - not all - items were found after I spoke to someone above her. Perhaps if she had done her job of managing the property well, or simply looking in the lost and found, none of this would have occurred this way.
The room itself was apparently in some state of disrepair, with rust in the tub.
One of the best hotels I’ve been to by far! The managers were amazing and so was the staff! Everyone was helpful and assisted with anything I needed not to mention the price was affordable. Definitely recommend and will be going back!
What can I say about Candlewood suites besides that the rooms are very clean it’s pet friendly that is a plus-side all the cute little dogs that come in. The front counter lady yazmin was so sweet polite and helpful she helped me find plenty of places to check out in the local area. And Mateo is very patient and polite Thanks for your understanding you guys are amazing and your driver Leroy was absolutely a joy to ride with both to and from the airport I will be looking forward to saying here again in the future.
