Canyon Restaurant reviews
15Amber took care of us and she was fantastic. She shared her opinions on menu items and we all loved our meals. Each couple split a macaroni and cheese small plate (Amber’s favorite) and it was superb. Our friends all had large plates, hubby & I split 3 small plates, to try a variety of dishes. We loved the poblano and the scallops. Beef short rib tostada was also good.
The food is amazing! The service is so awesome and the waiters are so kind! This restaurant overall is so amazing!
The vibe, service, food and experience was nothing but exceptional! It was atmospheric with a Miami feel and incredible music. Their signature Prickly Pear Margarita was delicious. Apps, entrees and dessert all clever and tasty. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back! Upscale environment. Happy customer!
First time at Canyon for their first Saturday Brunch. Everything was delicious - from my drinks to Appetizer to entrees and dessert. Just wish they had drink specials foe brunch - maybe unlimited Mimosas or bellinis. Or specials on their signature drinks. Definitely going back though.
Nov 2022, we have been coming to Canyon for over 5 years, and this restaurant never disappoints. Dominic our server was fabulous! He took great care of us and was very professional. We came here with friends and sat in the Lounge Area. We ordered the Beef Tenderloin Tacos, Short Rib Tostada, and the Short Rib Rigatoni, all dishes were amazingly good. The best part of being at Canyon is their famous Prickly Pear Margarita.
Food, atmosphere, service, cleanliness all great. Price fair. Highly recommended for a date night.
Haven't gone in a while food was not the same new place is better but the didn't bring the food over from the old place won't go back
Outrageous. Have never had better food in Florida. Period.
Everything was exceptional from food to service to ambiance. Seared scallops with PLANTAIN HASH? Are you kidding me? Just amazing
Food was good not great, service very average, waited long time for water and ordering and at the end sting you for $6 valet even though no charge mentioned and I parked the car myself. Next time I’ll stick to las olas thank you.
This is a great place for date night. It has a very nice ambience and the food is delicious. I recommend getting the Short Rib Rigatoni. As for parking there’s a $7 valet. My girlfriend got a drink which she loved as well. I will say my waiter was a bit rude and messed up the check and got annoyed when I asked for recommendations. Upon paying the bill he came over with the electric card reader and stood over me while I was giving the tip. I would recommend this place but the waiter definitely put a bad taste in my mouth but everything else was great. I gave it 3 stars and not 5 because of the rude waiter and because of the false advertising of the gluten free options. Their menu offers a few gluten free options that aren’t gluten free and thank god we asked in detail about the items. They really should not advertise like this because someone can get really sick if they are gluten free.
Always a great vibe at this place. They are known for their prickly pair margaritas and Bread pudding. I was there for a business networking event and tried the calamari and shishito peppers too. It's just South of the tunnel in downtown.
Every time I have come to Fort Lauderdale the past 10 plus years, I make time to come here. Their food and service are always amazing. And you can't miss the Prickly Pear margarita!
How have I not reviewed canyon yet? I’ve been so many times. The tenderloin tacos, the chicken Milanese, the cocktails, too many things to mention.
Though we enjoyed our meal, we had much higher expectations for Caynon.
We started with prickly pear Margarita’s which were about average compared to others I’ve had elsewhere.
The elote was really really good.
The harvest burrito was completely average served with a green salad that didn’t really go with it and an extremely tasteless dipping sauce. We asked for a hot sauce and got a house made Serrano & jalapeño sauce which was so much better.
The pork risotto with shrimp was pretty darn good but I’m still questioning what made it pork risotto.
The white chocolate bread pudding though it was good has more of a cake consistency than a bread pudding. The cinnamon apple churros were good.
Service was very good but we had much higher expectations for the food.
Was excited to try, but left underwhelmed. The famous prickly pear margarita tastes like a regular margarita with sweet and sour mix, not even fresh squeezed lime. Appetizers were better than entrees. Scallop appetizer had tiny scallops that were dry and plantains lacked flavor. Espresso creme brule was runny, ever seen brule so liquid. Definitely a one time experience for me. Service was just ok, nobody came to check if the food was OK.
