Cape Coral Animal Shelter & Veterinary Clinic reviews
15 After our pup suddenly in 2023, we knew we needed to adopt another dog. It was a very crazy year, and it just kept getting put off, and the right pup had not come into our lives.
At the end of 2023, we started looking and went to numerous shelters and could not find the right pup to complete our lives. After visiting a large county shelter on New Years Day, a volunteer suggested the Cape Coral Animal Shelter, which we had not been to.
Just pulling up and walking in, you know you are somewhere special. Everyone was so nice, and where the pets were housed was clean and didn't smell at all. Amanda, 1 of the volunteers brought us for a tour, and the 3rd window I looked in brought me to tears. There were 2 pups who looked just like our Ollie that passed. They looked scared and so sad. Amanda said they had just been surrendered together just days before, and they wanted to keep them together. That certainly was not a problem for us since they were exactly what we had hoped to adopt.
They went through the process and we are ecstatic to say we have not 1 but 2, not puppies but a 7 and 10 year-old male and female that we love and they moved in like they always lived here.
Thank you, Cape Coral Animal Shelter, for making our lives complete again!
Great staff, clean, educational, happy dogs, and brought me my Zoey! Current on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. 5 of 5 as animal shelters go.
Failed to give me accurate pricing was told total was 131 and when I had to pay it jumped to $180 very dissatisfied and disappointed in the workers ability to give correct pricing!
I cannot recommend this place enough, after hearing that we couldn't pay for everything our dog Prince needed to treat his (potentially fatal) pancreatitis, these people have done me and my family an extraordinary service and paid for his vet bill. This is a kindness that we will never forget, and one that I aim to pay forward one day.
From the bottoms of our hearts, we thank you sincerely.
Very friendly workers and helpful with our decisions.wonderful animals. Thank you so much.
CCAS has a wonderful facility and staff. We had a very positive experience - from the meet and greet through the full adoption process. Transparent, communicative and friendly staff. Quick follow up and we couldn’t be happier with the whole experience and our new pup! Impressed with the care and thoughtfulness.
I walked in to this place and was immediately disgusted by the smell and stench.it smelled like athletes foot and dog poop mixed. The aroma of the smell almost made me throw up and I had to leave.definitely one of the nastiest animal shelters I ever stepped foot into.
Great experience. We just got our princess and the adoption process was very quick and easy. They gave us a lot of information and help.
I'm a volunteer at cape coral animal shelter. It's a great place to volunteer and the staff are amazing.
We recently moved to Cape Coral. I started taking my chihuahua Little here they were very nice treated her periodontal disease. Absolutely wonderful and then I buy a 9-week-old Rottweiler puppy who was abused. I'm assuming by the previous owner by the conditions in which I received her. As soon as I take her in there they're telling me what a scary dog she is and how much training she needs because she's a Rottweiler and potentially be vicious now. Let me just say my chihuahua is a vicious dog. So anyways yesterday I take her in for her shot. At this point she is a great dog trained know e tricks. Wonderful with my kids. As soon as I walk in the receptionist, not a veterinarian. Someone who answers phones decides to give me advice on how I should train and socialize my Rottweiler because she's going to be big and vicious. I was absolutely disgusted uncomfortable. I felt judged and I had my 9 -year-old son with me. I will not be coming back here. They need to get new staff immediately
Great facility. Very caring and loving people taking good care of all their pets. Thank you for our new babies, Beau & Ezzy, we love them so much. Keep up the wonderful work. Thank you again for the great experience we had in adopting our new little family.

This is to the veterinarian side!
Listen I understand you are booked ALL THE TIME! But there is no reason for rudeness!
Every time I call I don’t know if this person hates life but they should not be working there and answer phones or deal with the public!
Enough is enough! I was calling for a family member who is out of town and I’m watching their pet whom she takes there and don’t tell me you are not taking new patients! She an existing patient! Don’t be rude! The pet is not feeling well and I’m just trying to help her! Move on! Go find what makes you happy lord! This facility needs to revamp personnel!
Nice, knowledgeable vets. They are dealing with a growth issue that I'm sure they'll work out
