Cape Coral Police Department

A marked car, plate XJ5118, ran a stoplight at Cornwallis parkway at 7: 22 PM on September 2,2023. Didn’t even touch their brakes. Review his dashcam footage

I have sadly decided to sell my home in Cape Coral due to the shockingly ineffectual and patronizing nature of the local Cape Coral PD. My home was broken into this past weekend and the Cape Cops have refused to solicit from the homes immediately opposite my own video surveillance which likely would have revealed who had entered. I am utterly appalled by the failure of the Cape Cops to perform even basic police work and am consequently giving up on this place as it is no longer safe to inhabit.

Waiting now over 2 hours for an officer to show up. This is why crime is out of control in cape coral. I just watched an off duty officer pull into a HC parking spot, no HC sticker, or liscense plate. Pure abuse.

Nice of an officer (0547) to give my wife a ticket for making a legal u-turn. People drive 60 in a 45 so the person got right up behind her and in stead of giving the moron doing over the speed limit the ticket my wife got it for a legal u-turn but the officer (0547) cited her for a FTYROW. Any way to make money, nice. Not to mention apparently the officer (0547) told her to go down the wrong way in order to get across to the other side of the street when there is a center divide. Also rude as can be. Nice of the officer (0547) to try and get to her to commit driving down the wrong way. Way to go CCPD.

I have family members in law enforcement and this is the saddest, laziest excuse for a police force I have ever seen in my life …. This police department is the definition of why people hate police

I live on trafalgar pkwy and my neighbors use the grass between the lanes all time, nobody do nothing. Cars parked in the bicycle lane, cars overspeed. I don t trust in law and order and respect. Today i call for 911 because had a car blocking the bike lane and she told that this is not emergency and thd driver asked for i use the street (chiquita). Maybe after i use the street and some car crash in my bike is a emergency.

I was gonna complain about the elderly woman yall arrested for dui when she was having a stroke. But yall got tons more complaints than that. How do yall see these negative reviews and not try to change what's going on in the department?

Extremely corrupt dept. Law enforcement who are just out to get paid. This officer in particular is a danger to society. The citizens of this county need to take action.

Was on a job site today backed up to garage loading my trailer and got yelled at that I was blocking traffic.cop drove in front of my truck twice then came over intercom to move my truck.no respect

I just want to thank officer Jenna Newton and the other male officer who came to my house today while I was alone with my two small kids.there was an issue with my father in law who my daughter and I are terrified of and they were so incredibly helpful and really made me feel safe. Thanks again so much! So professional, kind and helpful!

Very poor conduct from the Police here, Officer Meadows is a liability to whatever community she is violating citizens' rights in.

I filed a complaint against officer karau for threatening my minor children that he was going to arrest them if they didn't give their names during a traffic stop where he lied and said I was speeding. Not only are these mixed kids but he racially profiled us and pulled me over and lied. I guess whoever is in charge with the investigation with the complaints said he did no wrong doing but to the lawyer I spoke with said he had no business asking my minor children for ID and so did the officers back up even said the same thing. So once again nothing got done no accountability or anything.

Even their officers are aloud to be on their phones face timing and swerving all over the road too but let one of us do tje same its all of a sudden against the law. They don't even follow their own laws.

Just a massive money laundering organization at this point. Ticketing anyone and everyone they see.

What type of people put elderly people in cuffs 80 year olds well Cape Coral POlice Deprtmant and by seeing the reviews all they care bout is money & power Will walk over anyone no matter what. What a shame thos eofficers should be fired or replaced

We had our company trailer stolen with close to 25,000 of equipment inside. We provided serial numbers for every piece of equipment. They even had it on traffic cameras for a while.

Then over a year later, we get a certified letter from a towing company saying they have had it for 10 days and we owe them close to $1500 to get it back.

Cape Coral police department was notified that it was found, but never notified us. So now we are stuck paying this ridiculous fee to get back something that was stolen. And despite voicemails and emails can’t even get the detective to talk to us about it.

Justice is never served in Cape Coral. They will take your children and give them to the drunk parent. They will go by expired papers and uphold incorrect information. They do not care about people. They just get a paycheck and could care less about the people they were sworn to protect. Don’t move to Cape Coral if you were hoping for protection or care from your fellow police officers. What a waste of tax money.
