Capital Place at Southwood Apartments reviews
7Shout out to the Property Manager Sylvia and your team for making this place not just an apartment complex but a home away from home for many of us. I can't remember a time where my concerns were not addressed in a timely and professional manner. Been here for a year and enjoy the amenities as well as the community.
I hired a cleaning company to come in and clean an apartment I lived in for four years. I left the place spotless. They charged me a cleaning fee of $220, which I refused to pay. They then sent me to collections.
This owner response beliow is a lie. I have the right property and was provided no photo.
Problem with cockroaches, company that comes does poor job they in and out apartment in two minutes
As more recent reviews reflect, this is not an apartment complex you want to do business with. Shady and unlawful business practices are just the beginning. They will dress up promotions and giveaways to hook you into signing a lease with them, only for them to nickel and dime you at every possible turn. You may think you're getting away with no security deposit because of strong credit, always paying your bills, etc.but be prepared for them to invoice you at the end of your lease and harass to collect back pennies on the dollar for their builder grade apartments and carpets. I recommend staying far away from Capital Place in your next apartment search - save yourself the trouble.
I lived here as a subletter 3 years ago during a school internship. My roommates and I ended up moving out a few days later due to a flea infestation. Even after the complex bombed the apartment, the issues persisted. This place might be nice if it weren't for the flea issue I experienced years ago. I'm genuinely still traumatized due to the amount of bites and how itchy my skin was a month after the fact.
Love it living at Capital Place. Very quiet. Love to have more resident participation or meet and greet
I just want to get what I’m paying for. I haven’t left yet due to dreading the move and actually liking the neighborhood and location of the apartment complex but, between the constant rent increases EVERY YEAR, and the decrease in amenities and incentives to stay here, I see no reason to be here much longer. It’s sad because when I first moved out here, I absolutely loved it. But, COL keeps increasing and the people of Tallahassee’s paychecks aren’t. I just wish there was somebody out there who wasn’t so money hungry and can provide nice living spaces without breaking the backs and banks of the people.
