Capt Tony’s Saloon reviews
14This place is the quintessential dive bar. Mind the sloping floor when you come in. That alone can cause a wreck. I almost tripped and fell. It is dimly lit. You will find dollar bills and bras hanging from the walls and rafters. The drinks are good and cheap. They have a stage for a band. There are pool tables, pinball, skee ball, and foosball for entertainment. It can take a little bit to get a drink. People are normally gathered around the bar. It is a fun stop for the afternoon to have a drink. Far less crowded than Sloppy Joe's across the street. If you buy a Pirate Punch, you can keep the cup it comes in as a souvenir.
This is the same owner as the No Name Pub in Big Pine Key. Friendly staff, live music, game room, pool tables.ice cold beer, and a great place to escape the heat for a bit. Dark inside with ice-cold beer. We loved it.
Great time with the old Key West vibe. Only complaint was the cigarette smoking. Didn't make me leave just have to adapt.
I mean, cmon this is a Key West classic and absolute staple if you’re visiting! Great drinks & food while the atmosphere is always top notch. Lots of historical value and presence along with the fun available.
Old bar with lots of dollars all over in the bar and a large collection of bras. Go check it out.
Was recently on a cruise and stopped in Key West, I dragged my wife to the southern most point and about killed her in the heat.we stopped at Capt Tony's to cool off and recharge our batteries, and obviously have a few drinks. "When in Rome. Pirate's punch is no joke! " Great place, great service, great time!
Cool bar with a lot of history (the original Sloppy Joe’s) with real tree, gravestones and a real skeleton. Avoid the “Pirate Punch” unless you wanna pay $12 for a large orange juice.
What more can you say? The original Sloppy Joes that was owned by the last pirate on Key West. Best dive bar on the planet.
So I finally went down to captain Tony's.it was a spiritual visit celebrating Jimmy buffets life.got a nice capt tony t shirt
Extremely great classic place to get a very cold beer and look at all the history on the walls and ceiling.
If you haven't been you need to go if you have been you'll definitely want to go back
The oldest and best bar in FLA. Forget the tourist trap Sloppy Joe's, which was an open-air market in Hemingway's days; this is where Ernest drank, and argued, and philosophied, and stumbled home down Whitehead St (follow the light from the Key West lighthouse). Here is where Buffet played and Capt. Tony signed t! T$ and celebrities begged for bar stools to immortalize their names. Grab some delicacies from the Conch Shack around the corner (Tony's is a bar, not a bar and grill), order a couple of 22 oz Capt Tony's Ambers, and waste away an afternoon or evening (or both) in the real magic of Key West. My favorite view in KW is from the back corner by the Elect Tony Tarracino sign! Add it to your Keys bucket list. Seriously.
After a long day of walking, we stopped in and enjoyed a few refreshing beverages and the great live music.
I feel like I am the most important customer they have! The guys are always friendly and I never have to worry about getting thirsty!
It was a nice atmosphere. Live music. They don't service food, so they do allow smoking indoors. We stopped in for one drink, and he made mine pretty good. Interesting decor and the bartender have us a little history on the money on the walls and bras. The bathroom definitely needs some tlc, but I would definitely recommend it.
