Captain D's, Sebring FL

We were roadtripping and stumbled upon this place - amazing food for a drive thru - I wish we had this in Miami!

The fried fish was tender in the inside with a crunchy breading. Order came with two sides, Cole slaw and Mac and cheese tasted good. Hush puppies were fried well and had good flavor. Broccoli was not mushy. Menu was clear and easy to read. Reasonably priced. Friendly service. Clean dining room. Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessible. I didn't see the restroom. Convenient to hospital and small shopping plaza.

We have always enjoyed the food here, we live 30 minutes away & stop in when we're in the area. This time it was greasy & just not good. One dinner Cajun fish & shrimp had no Cajun taste, the other fish & shrimp dinner was greasy & just not appetizing at all, don't think we'll be back for a while.

Captain D's food ordered was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly respectful and gave good.

Rating is because of training of personnel which was still acceptable. The Manager was very patient and helpful, especially since it's a Saturday night. The breading on the fish is different and don't like it as much.

It's better than a lot of other places! A little pricey but at least it's different!

Wish they offered the Popular Lemon Dill Sauce that even Betty Crocker Recommends for Salmon.

Food was old, over cooked, inside is dirty the tables, floor an restrooms are nasty this place should be condemned

Ordered at 5: 07 pm. It's 5: 47 and still no food dining in. Drive thru is going without much wait. No ice in the self serve machine. The lemonade taste soapy! I'm a hungry unhappy customer. $23 and nothing. I'm getting a refund and going to Red Lobster. I'll spend less money too.

If this listed as "Captain D's its not. Wow! If you are not a big eater then this is not the place for you! Most places are disappointing. Not this place.the portions are big enough to feed 2 people.you will not be disappointed.

My experience at Captain D’s was not positive. My husband and I went on Senior Day. When I ordered my side I chose fries. I asked that they be hot and fresh. I was given cold fries. I took them back and asked for a fresh batch. I was brought cold fries again and told they had just been made. I showed the worker they were also cold.and there was no reply. I threw them away immediately. I was not offered new fries or a different side. The restaurant was not busy and there was no reason to not make fresh fries. I can only assume with it being Senior day the workers expected I would accept the cold fries. Senior Day or any day the food should be fresh and hot. If you go to this restaurant bring a younger individual. I can only hope that the other Seniors who frequent here stand up and refuse to be discriminated against.
