Captain John's Seafood & Island Grill / Telicious, Sanford FL

The shrimp was good. The sauce was not. The Jerk chicken meal tasted like basic chicken cooked at home. Did not taste like Jerk.

I have been going here for years but the last few times the seasoning has been lacking. I asked for extra jerk and then got this. I tell the cashier I asked for extra and was willing to pay extra for it. The cook refused and said it was cooked with the half cooked onions. I won't be going back. If I hadn't already paid I would've left it there.

I order over the phone, when I got there I have to wait 20 minutes because they forget about my order. The food is good.

Horrible service. The few times I have been there long waits, order was incorrect. I called in my order and when I got there they never put my order in, had to wait. This time I tried calling in my order was put on hold and got to the place and she never came back to the phone. The phone was put to the side. I waited for 8 mins before she took my order and waited over 30 mins for my order which was still wrong and had to wait some more. I will not be back!

I had an awesome lunch here! I had shrimp and fish gumbo.the portions were large and filling.the price was good, choice of bevriges and deserts was good.the staff was very friendly.the food itself was great if you love seafood.i highly recommed this place.it has that small town feel!

I barely had any crabs and there was no season just a lot of butter shrimp and corn was burnt The whole plate was just a Nasty I’m disappointed in y’all yeah bra y’all need to just shut down

Usually called to place order but phone was buzy the whole time. Finally arrived and place order but it was messed up.ended waiting extra 30 minutes. When finally got food, got nothing but attitude from server.smh

Their food is good. But they are understaffed. I was put on hold for 10minutes and they got my order wrong. But the food was still good.

What we like most about Captain John's is the variety. Everyone in the family can get something different for dinner if they want. Curry goat, Oxtail, Crab Legs. It's like heaven.

It's nothing fancy but we like it for a decent family meal.

The Owner, Pierre and staff was very attentive and friendly with the customers. He came over to the eating area to welcome the customers and to make sure that the food was good. The food was very tasty and freshly cooked. The bathroom was clean. I will definitely eat there again.

The food was amazing! Everyone was super friendly. The place doesn't look like much but sometimes those are the places with the best food. I had the stewed oxtail with garlic rice (OMG!), corn and cabbage and devoured it shamelessly. The oxtail was tender andaseasoned perfectly. The garlic rice is out of this world. My husband had the Alaskan crab legs and shrimp with potatoes and corn. His was also amazing! Can't wait to go back.

Lunch order jerk chicken, comes with rice and 2 sides. (I choose Fries and cabbage) I ate most of it. It came with great portions of food. Made fresh. And great atmosphere. My first time coming

So yummy! The server brought salad without asking before taking our order. Eat your greens, Y'all! Followed by awesome crab, shrimp and fish! We will most definitely be back!

Excellent food. Great service. The food is always perfectly seasoned. Not over or under. This place is a must stop.

Omg this place was so good you can tell the food was made with love or as the owner said Jesus Love I'm from Kentucky and I would drive all the way here to eat this was so Amazing everyone there was so nice and very attentive way to go they get 2 thumbs up

Food was AMAZING! A hole in the wall in Sanford Fl owned by a Caribean Family. Ufff that curry chicken and those garlic potatoes and mercy thisr season onion anf garlic shrimps mercy! The location looks a bit worn out but everything is clean and organized. Bathrooms very clean. A place you can eat at peace. Try it!

Love it! Great food, generous portions, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and relatively fast getting the food out.

I live in Tampa, this place gave good service, food portions were more than to be expected, and it was quick service!

The chef, Pierre, is on top of his job. I love everything I've tried. We always take out of town guests there. Simply the best Caribbean food!
