Captain Vinnie's private boat tours, St Pete Beach FL

We decided to do a boat trip at short notice and I found Captain VInnie online. We just wanted a quick two hour tour around the bay and it was fabulous and he is so obliging! He is an expert on the local area as we went around the St Pete Bay. We also managed to see a couple of dolphins which really made our trip special! His boat is immaculate, I would highly recommend if you are in the beautiful St Pete area

Had such a good boat trip, although we couldn’t snorkel due to red tide (and the water was freezing!) Vinnie made special effort to get dolphins to follow the boat! Made our holiday! ️

I have to say what an amazing man he knows so much. Knowledge about the sea life and ocean made us feel very comfortable and the island was amazing Ty Vinny for a great time

We had a great day with Captain Vinnie. We took a 3hr tour. I thought it was a perfect amount of time. We did some island hopping and just riding around. Best dolphin encounter I have ever had.

Read good things about the tours yet we got cancelled 3 days before as another party took our Friday spot, with no notice. Captain V.didn't tell us to 'confirm a $10 deposit on a website as we agreed to pay cash (by phone AND many texts over weeks prior)

Had a great day on the water. Located a pair of dolphins, snorkeled several locations and went to Egmont Key. We did have to dodge some rough water due to weather but Vinnie was very knowledgeable of the area and made the best of it. We had a party of 6 adults and had plenty of room on the boat. The boat was perfect for our 4 hour excursion. We would book with Vinnie again.

Excellent and well worth the money. Knowledgeable captain that is a local and knows the area. Loved being able to pick and choose where we go and for how long. Captain Vinnie ask what we want to see and do and he makes it happen. Very enjoyable boat ride.

Captain Vinnie provided an amazing tour for our family! He is a native with years of experience, so he is very knowledgeable of the area, it’s history, and wildlife. We saw dolphins, snorkeled, and even stopped by an island. I have traveled a lot in my 42 years and lived in Europe for several years, but this tour was by far one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. We will be looking him up next year for sure! The price was very reasonable for the experience. Don’t forget to tip. Well worth it!

We had an amazing tour with Captain Vinnie! He is so friendly and accommodating and made the entire experience so easy and accessible. We had kids and a pregnant mom and captain Vinnie adapted to help us be comfortable. When we saw dolphins at the end of the trip he took the time to try and coax them to jump with the boat. So fun! Our trip out with Vinnie was the highlight of our trip! Vinnie is a seasoned captain and knew the area very well, answering all our questions and taking us to the best places to see exactly what we wanted. He met us in Ft. De Soto, and we went out to Egmont Cay to swim, snorkel, and look for shells. We then went to another spot to snorkel. He was great with our 8 year old. We then had the most amazing dolphin encounter…there was an entire pod, including a baby, that rode in the boat wake for at least ten minutes, having a blast. We could not imagine a better time—we’ll be back the next time we are in the area.

We had an amazing trip in the water with Captain Vinnie. We island hopped, went snorkeling and shelling, saw dolphins, and went tubing. Vinnie’s knowledge of the areas history made the trip even more interesting. This is a must do for everyone!

If I could give a better review I absolutely would. Captain is a great guy and expertly maneuvered the area, and was able to give me and my family a magical time in Ft. DeSoto!

We’ve been on dolphin tours and other excursions out of Clearwater but wanted something less commercial and more relaxing. I found Vinnie because of another family who went on his boat and enjoyed it. He was great with planning and questions and since he grew up here he was so knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife and the history that I kind of wished our 4 hour trip could have been 8. The snorkeling was excellent for our 3 boys and exploring the island was a unique experience too. We got to see a manatee, dolphin, and a leopard striped stingray! Vinnie was great with our kids and his boat is CLEAN and safety is clearly a priority to him. He told the boys he didn’t recommend jumping from certain rocks and they listened to him where they might have thought I was overreacting. We wanted to explore islands and snorkel but I know you can customize your trip to include tubing and other excitement. He also had our youngest drive the boat and wear a captain hat. While he was great with the kids I was thinking how fun it would be to have him take us on a tour with our own friends. If you want to have a great time with a guide you can trust, you will enjoy Captain Vinnie.
