Captain's Corner Dive Center, Key West FL

Amazing dive group. The crew makes the experience so enjoyable with their knowledge. I took the open water scuba course with 5 star Mike. He is the best instructor i’ve had the pleasure of working with. He is so calming and reassuring underwater when things are scary. I faced my fear of the ocean with Mike along my side and he made me feel very safe and comfortable underwater. I would recommend this dive shop to anyone and everyone who’d like to try scuba for the first time. Thank you captains corner and most especially thank you 5 star mike you rock!

My wife and I had a great time Scuba Diving with Captain's Corner. It was my first time ever diving and our Instructor Derek taught me all of the basics and I felt confident in the water. By the second dive, I felt like a pro!
The only issue my wife and I had was that the pool that we did the training in was filthy! Underwater, it was incredibly difficult to see Derek. I hope they read this and clean the pool thoroughly.
Other than that dirty pool, I highly recommend diving with the people of Captain's Corner. Great personalities and you can tell they all know what they are doing!

Captain's corner had great communication leading up to the dive and had some great staff on the boat both days that I dove. Shout out to dive leader Derek who I had the pleasure of working with - he was patient, communicative, and provided me with videos of our dive, which was a very pleasant surprise and made the experience even more memorable. I have wanted to be scuba certified for a long time. I did a short pool course in the Bahamas when I was a teen.

I did a three hour course on a boat and dove the Great Barrier Reef in Australia 20 years ago. But still not certified.

But nothing could hold me back this year.

I did all the online Padi coursework this summer. I watched YouTube videos for two weeks before flying to Key West.

I picked Captains corner in key west on the recommendation of a friend who has a lifetime of diving experience. I lucked out. It is my pleasure to tell you I was able to get lessons from five star Mike! (Mike Rice)

We did a one to one lesson in their pool where where I did a swim and then float evaluation. Then two hours of skill building. Mike is demanding, thorough and fun. I give him an A+ rating!
(Watch out for beer fines if you mess up after he reminds you of a skill)

I am a lifetime martial arts instructor and I know when I meet a teacher that is a good communicator as well as being supportive and helpful. Mike Rice rocks it. On the boat, and out at the reef we got the very best instruction and support.

Also my thanks to Jen who answered dozens of my questions prior to my arrival. She is the best. Make sure to ask Leslie, the owner for her life story, just fascinating.

Did the afternoon reef dive two days this week. Super professional crew. Had an amazing dive with Derek as our guide who took videos and photos of us and took the time to share them with us. Really went above and beyond to be sure we had a safe and fun time.

It was our first time diving in Key West. I really liked that the equipment was of really good quality and made a decent impression. I particularly found that due to the certification level, diving without a guide was possible without any problems, without any previous debates or the like. The only thing that wasn't so nice was that the openings online urgently need to be updated so that you don't stand in front of closed doors. We spontaneously introduced ourselves in the shop in the morning and were taken straight away at lunchtime. I don't know whether this is also the case in high season. In terms of price, it was also absolutely great

First time dive for me and my teen boys. Derek made the experience unforgettable and stress free. After the morning training we went to 2 dive sites and Derek recorded videos of the dive and shared them with us afterwards. Amazing experience for our family and BIG thanks to Derek for recording the memories and sharing some laughs with us along the way. Highly recommend Captains Corner!

Captains Corner was the best place to get PADI certified! The stag was really responsive for registering and explaining the process. I was prepared by the time Derek patiently helped me master the skills. We planned a dive after certified and Courtney was an awesome diver guide. I felt comfortable and safe with the captains and trips. I'll be back!

I have now had the great pleasure of diving with Captains Corner for 4 dives. (each a double dip so I guess 8 dives)

Seriously, if you are looking for a great operator on Key West, this is it!

Each crew at CC has been fantastic! The Captains were enthusiastic and entertaining. The Dive Masters have each been professional and knowledgeable.

Check in right outside Conch Republic restaurant and the boat is docked at the marina just in front of you.

My experience with other operators has been spotty. Cancellation at the last moment, given a difficult time because I use a Din style regulator. None of that here.

Just remember the mnemonic, 3C (Cool Captains Corner)!

Had an excellent intro to diving with the crew at Captain's Corner. Look no further if you're interested in diving the reefs while in Key West. Thanks to everyone there who made my experience one to remember.

I am a diver living in Miami. I like Captain'scorner very much. I met them by chance for the first time and now I dive there every time. Their diving guides and instructors are excellent and professional! They are very responsible and keep our safety!

Husband and I had a great dive with them. Our guide Derek bardini ensured our safety while diving at Vandenberg in low visibility after hurricane idalia. He even took videos for us that we could cherish. Captain Ricky and Jenn also provided us a great atmosphere although diving conditions weren’t the greatest at the time of our dive. They were very friendly! We had a great experience and will highly recommend them to other divers.

This is one of the best dive shops that I have ever been to! In the past two years I have gotten two certifications with this crew and everyone of them is amazing. This past summer I went with the
Purdue SCUBA Club as a group of nine and the quality of service is unmatched in my opinion to many of the other dive centers that I have been to. I highly recommend this dive center if you are a beginner or advanced diver or just looking for a great dive with amazing crew!

Special thank you to the whole crew that helped make this trip special for the Purdue SCUBA Club during the week we were in Key West, FL. This is one of the best memories I will take out of my time in college and you all have made it that much more special.

I recently returned from a trip to Key West and wanted to PADI certify for open water diver while there. After doing some research on the local dive centers, I reached out to Captain's Corner and received a quick reply on some questions I had and also received great customer service from their staff. During the training sessions in KW, I was assigned to work with dive instructor "Derek" who did an exceptional job. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and patient with all of the training steps both in the pool and out in the ocean and I would highly recommend requesting him if available. Also, the entire boat crew with Captain's Corner was extremely helpful and friendly while out on the water, and I had a great experience both days of training. I am highly satisfied with my choice to dive/certify with Captain's Corner and strongly recommend them to anyone looking to do the same while in Key West!

This is the best dive operator in Key west! They made our scuba adventure so much fun! Ricky the captain is awesome and his right hand girl/on board dive master (think her name was Amanda…. A pink haired beauty!) was wonderful as well. We had a guide (Miguel) who was amazing. Can’t rave enough about them! Btw…to the crew… we are calling the office to see if we can pay them directly and have them pass on your gratuity. Sorry we didn’t make it back into town to give to you personally!

My 2 daughters (ages 14 & 17) did Intro to Diving. They had a two hour morning pool session to learn and then in the afternoon, went offshore for 2 separate open water dives. They had an AMAZING experience and cannot wait to go back to Key West to do it again! They had Derek and Tony as their instructors and they were both awesome and made them feel so comfortable and confident. I was too chicken to do it myself but definitely regret my decision, after hearing them talk about how amazing it was. Thank you so much, Captain’s Corner Dive Center!
