CareerSource Broward (North Center), Coconut Creek FL

I never wrote reviews before but I feel everyone should know about this facility. CareerSource Broward North center has been so helpful, especially our coach Concetta Joseph who helped me and my wife get through WIOA program which covered all our tuition. She has been professional, empathetic and supportive. I had such a great experience in this center. I highly recommend it for anyone. Thank you so much Concetta and all CareerSource Broward.

I don't write reviews often, however, I had to write one about this facility. CareerSource Broward (North Center) has been tremendously helpful. From the time I entered the facility and met Joyce who kindly listened to what happened to me and instructed me step-by-step what I needed to do. Joyce referred me to the resource center. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Lesbia who assisted me to try and get my information unlocked. Lesbia provide me with the necessary information to move me to the next level, she did so patiently. I returned to speak with Lulu and she helped with scanning my information, making sure I had the correct ID that I needed and walked me thru the process. I have NEVER experience such wonderful customer service in my life! Everyone I came in contact with has been helpful, understanding and listened to me and wanted to help me achieve my goal! If I could provide 10 stars I would; 10 for each of the employees who work here. I also have to give a great deal of praise to their supervisors/managers. It has truly been a pleasure. Thank you for all you do.

Why 2 stars? Although the staff were all very friendly and respectful, for whatever reason they've blocked Craigslist which in my experience of job searching has been HIGHLY effective in landing jobs. Speaking with the actual business owner or HR personnel vs depending on AI to send job openings through various job aggregators. As soon as I moved away from this option of job searching, I was almost immediately offered job opportunities. A number of these business owners have told me that they are desperately looking for people at least in the office/clerical job openings. Just suggesting that you use your phone or laptop at a nearby WIFI spot such as Starbucks or some other business that offers FREE WiFi. Idk try out this option also and don't place your eggs in 1 basket. I hope I'm wrong. Test this "hypothesis" I'm positive you'll land a decent job

My assigned coach hard to get in contact with on the phone. She advised me to email her and never got a response. Maybe I was paired with a bad coach but it’s not worth it having to chase people.

*Mrs. Concetta Joseph* does an amazing job and helps me quickly with this process. I will suggest everyone fight to work with her, she's the best of the best, “La creme de la Creme”. Everyone on this staff gives 100% of them for our benefit, thank you.

Lesbia Gomez is outstanding as a Resource Center Specialist here at CareerSource Broward in Coconut Creek. She not only knows how to move around efficiently on the CareerSource Broward website, she knows her way around Microsoft Word and the painting program. She has come to my rescue numerous times when it comes to creating artwork that is needed to capture the attention of prospective companies seeking mutually beneficial business relationships.

Sandra Riddles is more than a PPN (Professional Placement Network) Facilitator here at the CareerSource Broward office. She is a LinkedIn-certified instructor. She is currently helping me recover from a devastating mistake by LinkedIn back during Christmas week in 2020. That was when a misguided LinkedIn Safety Consultant decided to ban my 10-year account with more than 30,000 Level 1 LinkedIn connections and more than 43,000 LinkedIn followers from the platform. It is almost unthinkable and unbelievably cruel what this person decided to do. In a matter of seconds, this so-called LinkedIn Security Consultant destroyed my business life. All my connections and followers gone. Fortunately, two years later, I found a way back onto LinkedIn platform, but I was forced to start over with a brand new account. Nevertheless, I feel fortunate to have Sandy Riddles helping me to "build back better" my LinkedIn network.

Sean MacPhee is the LVR (Local Veterans Employment Representative) at CareerSource Broward. Although I am not a veteran, Sean has helped me to expand my exposure locally in the marketplace. Thanks to him, I recently attended a job fair at the Urban League of Broward County. I would not have been aware of this event had it not been for Sean. He even gave me a list of specific businesses that planned to have a table at the event. By the way, this event had a huge turnout that included more than just the general public and local business representatives. There were also a large number of local colleges and universities represented.

Louisa Brooks is a wonderful Resource Center Liaison. She knows how to make sense of not only navigating on the Employee Florida and CareerSource websites, but how to print material out from Google Docs. The process is not as easy as I believe it should be, perhaps for security reasons. But, thanks to Louisa, I never have to worry that what I need printed will not get printed.

My situation is somewhat different from most folks who come to CareerSource for help. I am not seeking full or part-time employment. I am too old to be competitive. Instead, I must find work as an independent contractor in the affiliate marketing world. Nevertheless, the team at CareerSource Broward in Coconut Creek has been and continues to be extremely helpful to me.

This is the best Career Source center in South Florida. They have been consistent, professional and most empathetic to client needs. They helped me pay for everything I needed to get through nursing school. 4 years later I needed records from them and they delivered what I needed quickly and thoroughly. I am most impressed with the employees at this location. Highest recommendations l.

I would like to take time to thank Sandra Riddles for the Resume writing class. It was very informative and helpful in guiding me in the direction of shortening my very lengthy resume and have it say all that it needs to make me shine.

CareerSource has been a great experience. I dealt with Xinia McMurtrey and Maureen Noel who were both professional and responsive in returning phone calls and emails. This location deserves the 5 stars. I truly recommend CareerSorce for those who want to find work.

I can’t begin to express my gratitude to Career Source and especially to Nickie Nougaisse and Maureen Noel who have not only begin supportive and diligent but also encouraging to me while in pursuit of such a challenging degree as a nursing student. My wife & I just completed some workshops at Coconut Creek Career Center. Sandra Riddles was the person who taught these workshops. She is terrific & we both learned a lot. She should be commended for how well she does her job.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this location. I was able to get the Wioa scholarship and my success coach Mrs. Joseph has been great through the process. If you need help this is the place. You can really tell the staff love their jobs, and helping those in need. I would defiantly recommend. Ash.
