250sqft. Empire $1600 (50%discount) with half hour sales pitch complete with let me talk to my manager script. Home Depot $1200 +$35 measure you don’t get back. Carpet man $600 done next day. As the other reviews say everyone else was 3x the price and a long winded sales pitch. This is my third install with carpet man. Thank you Wade!

They made replacing carpet efficient and easy.

Day 1: Shopping - great warehouse full of carpet options, install pricing clearly marked, knowledgeable staff.

Day 2: someone came to our home to measure and give pricing.

Day 3: installers arrived, did excellent work.

Good warranty on the product.
We plan to use this company again for future flooring needs.

Highly recommended.

Wade was great. We replaced the carpet flooring downstairs with LVP and it looks amazing. We had it installed within a week!

Two things I will note:
First: check your baseboards right after install! There are a few places that are messed up from where they took them down and an area in our bathroom where it actually cracked up the wall, but we didn’t notice it right away (downstairs bathroom is rarely used) so we never tried to get it fixed by them.
Second: if you ever need carpet FIXED (not replaced- but an area of the carpet needs to be patched), they will likely recommend a guy named John. Do not use him. We contacted them to get the area fixed and we were recommended to a guy named John to see if he was able to do it (but if he couldn’t do it, then Carpet Man would). After months and months of being dragged on and on, he finally patched the area but was supposed to go pick up replacement carpet to fix the area in the closet that he took the patch from. We of course paid him as he was supposed to be back the next day, and he never came back to finish it. He has ignored all calls and texts and went AWAL. This is NOT Carpet Man’s fault, but I’m just putting it out there in case you need a carpet patch job and you contact Carpet Man for the service and they try to refer you out. Take it from our experience, just have Carpet Man do it instead of having to pay twice since now I have to pay Carpet Man to fix the area in the closet.

Carpet man is absolutely AMAZING! I used them to install my carpet when we bought our home. My daughter develop allergies so I had to replace her carpet after 2 years. We went back to Carpet Man and once again they did an absolutely beautiful job! James is the best! No pressure sales and gave me a great price! The installers, Tony and Juan were Super! They were courteous, neat, and QUICK!

On sunday afternoon i needed a small piece of carpet to protect my floor in front of the fireplace. I stopped at the carpet man on wells in orange park. In 5 minutes the guy working brought me just what i wanted and HE DIDN'T CHARGE ME even when i asked. I will buy flooring there for my next project- THANKS

I wish I had a better review to give, but I ended up not using this company because of this interaction I’m about to tell. I had a horrible leak in my AC unit which flooded my child’s room. As disabled veteran and single parent, I was distraught having to rip up carpet in the home we just bought at the end of May. I called this carpet company to get an estimate for their services since I’ve never had to purchase carpet before and it was not awesome.

When we initially connected, I was slightly confused as to their process for the estimate (which was not well explained) but still having their company tune stuck in my head, I proceeded. After the first conversation with the manager, a man named Tracy texted me to set up a time for him to come by (for which I thought was the estimate but turned out it was just to measure and view samples). Tracy was punctual, thorough and kind and the only reason my rating has any stars. Then Tracy let me know that the main guy would be calling me for an estimate and he left. Here’s where things go south.

Besides the initial confusion, the main manager called me to give me the estimate, he quoted me $500+ for a 12x11 room and two small closets. I was not prepared to pay that much money for one room of carpeting. I asked him about the 99 cent per square foot deal, saying that the room is no more than 150-160 sq ft and he said, “well, you didn’t tell me that’s what you wanted. ” Well he didn’t ask what I wanted and never having gone through this process before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. He then quoted me $250 after running down the fact that I would have to empty the room, move about all the furniture and the current carpet and the padding, disposing of it all as well. I thought, yes, it’s a bit of work but work I’m prepared to do.

Then I asked why it would be $250 at $2 per square foot instead of $150 for $1 per square foot and he said impatiently, “carpet comes in 12 foot rolls and since your space is a little over you will have excess [that you have to pay for]” To which I replied, “I didn’t know that. And he responded, “I didn’t know I had to give a class on carpet, ” at which time I proceeded to inform him of the review that I am writing now and hung up.

Just having spent thousands of dollars repairing so many issues in a home as new home owner is insanity. All I wanted was to give my child their room back. Now I guess I will keep looking for a company who isn’t so impatient and unprofessional.

The estimate went up every time I contacted James Installation crew showed up and no one spoke English enough to communicate. The transitions are crooked and lumpy. They spliced the carpet in the front of the bedroom rather than in the back, under the bed. I got glue down vinyl flooring in part of the room. James said it was better since it is more water proof than the snap together. He failed to mention that it traps water underneath it better also. I now have a huge lump in my retreat area. The biggest regret though is that I can’t give them less than one star. Never again would I trade with this company.

I had the pleasure of working with Doug, as my salesperson, and Carlos, as the lead installer for my project, and I could not have been more pleased! They both went above and beyond my expectations in helping me select the best type of flooring for my entire condo and making sure it was properly installed. I love my new luxury vinyl plank flooring and highly recommended Carpet Man of Orange Park.
