Casa Frida Mexican Cuisine, Fort Lauderdale FL

Don’t walk, run! This is by far the most authentic Mexican food and incredibly delicious. The service and atmosphere was vibrant and we had such a wonderful dining experience. We have lived in the neighborhood for over a year an are mad we didn’t come dine at Casa Frida sooner. We are looking forward to coming back and becoming regulars.

I am from Mexico and since I moved to Florida, I want to say this restaurant has the best authentic Mexican food. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Southeast Florida, the food is always good, and the servers are always kind and keep the place clean.
Definitely, I recommend this place.

My first time here, my friend's idea. I ordered chilaquiles with beans, they combined salsa Roja and verde, not spicy but good flavor, the refried beans were a little smoky for my taste. R both had a peach, basil margarita with taking on the rim. It was really tasty. They also gave us a shot that was so delicious. Very colorful place.

Not busy but we waited a long time for food. Plain Chimichanga on bare plate $20 was small and soggy, not crispy, no sides. I've had better anywhere.
Six of us didn't know 20% tip was automatic so we almost tipped twice but then caught it.
All food was just ok. We prefer LaBamba down the street.

Outstanding place. I would absolutely recommend this resturant for dinning and even a nice cozy birthday party. I had a large chain completely butcher my reservation. I called Casa Frida FOUR HOURS before the birthday and I had Candy and Roberto assist me and let me tell you, this was one of the most memorable birthday to two eight year olds. The service, attention to detail from EVERY SINGLE STAFF member, and the outstanding food was FANTASTIC to see. This place epitomizes a good business that cares about its community and has deep roots within it. Thank you, OUTSTANDING job and FOOD!

Our first time at Frida's. Excellent food, drink, atmosphere and Service! Thank you Claudia for an all around great Traditional Mexican time! We went on Taco Tuesday but will be back to try all of the delicious choices.

A great local place that is absolutely recommended! We had shrimp tacos and lamb barbacoa and both were delicious. The stew that comes with lamb should a dish in itself.the atmosphere was spectacular.thank you!

Well, my daughter recommended this place so we agreed to check it out. She printed a $10 coupon that they did not accept. It's very loud, very unorganized, very chaotic and very slow service. My beer was sitting on the bar for 7 minutes until my server finally gave it to me but by then it was no longer cold and lively. Everyone's meal came out late except my wife's which didn't come out at all until we brought it to the server's attention. Finally my wife received her meal halfway into our meal. It was hard to decipher the different meats they served because they were all shredded. Some of them were not very tasty at all and I could equate some of them to the smell of cat food. He also forgot my side of jalapenos. It was taco night so I thought $3 tacos would get us out the door with a reasonable bill. 4 out of 5 of us had 3 tacos each at $3 each and a side of rice and beans and a pitcher of Margarita with a small bowl of guacamole. The bill came and my wife thought there we're several errors but we were assured there weren't. Just shy of $200 for probably $15 worth of ingredients. Very expensive and not very tasty. It was my first experience and probably my last. This place does not come recommended.

First of all.omg what absolute amazing service! I've been to quite a few Mexican restaurants in Fort Lauderdale but this tops them all and I'm NOT exaggerating. Julian out server made sure we had literally everything we needed at all time. But the food, omg, was absolutely delicious! Wow very authentic and the drinks were on point. It was my first time here but not my last, Im so happy I came across this place! I can't wait to return next Taco Tuesday! (The $3 tacos are amazing) Victor the owner is extremely attentive which just shows you the level of quality of this restaurant. So happy we came here!

Been many years since I've been here and totally regret it! Hands down the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been too.the mole, ceviche, guacamole, EVERYTHING IS OUTSTANDING! Will be back much sooner!

I never would have thought pineapple would be something to put in guacamole but Casa Frida showed me otherwise. The food and service were incredible from beginning to end. I look forward to sharing their amazing food with as many people as possible. Thank you Frida for being in Fort Lauderdale!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in South Florida. Spent my birthday there once. Great food, great Margaritas, great service. My relatives from LA gave this place a rave review, and Angelenos are very Mexican food savvy!

This review is not only about the phenomenal food at Casa Frida truly the best Mexican Cuisine I have ever tasted outside of Mexico.

On Saturday I called Casa Frida and asked if they could take a party of 11 for the same day. Much to my surprise they said yes, my mom was turning, the family and I had all agreed on Dinner for the big day but nobody had made reservations.

Not only did they take our party, but looked and found me a Mariachi Band to show up 4 hours after I called them. They allowed the 5 piece band to sing and perform for a solid hour and treated my mom like the queen she is.

The food was okay, they will sell you up but their “added special “ is not worth the extra charge.
There were 6 of us dining here, they added 18% gratuity to the bill without telling us, this information is not advertised anywhere visible to us, we all added 20% tip on top because we didn’t see it. These are not honest people. CHECK your bill.

The food is so good. Only complaint is the 1975 video of Julio Iglesias. They have played this terrible video and music every time I’ve been here. Surely they could come up with something new. Almost makes me not want to eat here. And it definitely makes me leave as soon as I can. Just don’t play anything and let me enjoy the delicious food.

What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than a visit to Casa Frida? It was our first time. We really liked it. Our food was ample, our Margaritas strong, the ambiance fun and our service excellent. I’d been wanting to visit for awhile, happy we went. Looking forward to going back.
