Very interesting and fun experience, about the only disappointing thing was that they weren't doing the canon firing demonstration (due to covid).

Wonderful historic place, full of history. It was closed for Thanksgiving, but next time we will visit the interior, still to walk the sorroundings is a great experience.

Wonderful place to go learn about history. There was a line to wait in to get tickets and the parking lot was full. Go early to get a parking spot or you will have to find a place and walk a good ways to get to the Fort. Park Rangers were very knowledgeable about the Fort. It was clean and grounds were kept up. Dogs are allowed on grounds but not in Fort. There is a gift shop with lots of items to choose from. Lots of historical stuff inside fort with signs explaining the day, life and artifacts of life back then.

To distract yourself as a couple or as a family this place is very good, it is a quiet place to enjoy the history of the united states

This place is amazing. You can walk around the fort at night and day time. You get to see how they lived back then. And there's a lot of information on the history of the CASTILLO. Very cool. This Is a must visit place in Florida.

The Castle The Sant Mark is full of a lot of history. It construction began on October 2,1672. It was built of stone to protect the city. In 1924 was declared a national monument.

This is pretty cool and as you look closer at the walls you'll see that it's completely made of sea shells. It withstood bombardments from Great Britain War ship's and yet it stand's.

Exceptional experience and every guide was very knowledgeable. Beautiful location and picture spot, but please be careful to stay off of the historical artifacts there.

I enjoyed walking in this old fort. It was really well preserved and all persons were very knowledgable, just a bit on the pricey side for the tour. I would, however, go again and not take a tour just walk around the outside and get some amazing views.

Really cool piece of history! We happened to go on national parks day, when it turned out to be free instead of $15 per person. If you're a history buff, this is a really awesome place to drop by. Keep in mind that it is HOT in the summer and only the gift shop has an air conditioner, so you need to bring a water or at least be prepared to get one for $2 at the gift shop. The staff here seemed really kind, and I learned a lot from all the plaques on the walls and everything. Really cool experience.

•This is a stop on the trolley tour, in case anyone needed that information!
•This place didn't seem to be particularly wheelchair accessible, which makes sense, but is worth noting.
•Please take care if you have small children or a fear of heights! The portion of this fort that's upstairs has an extremely low little wall around it. While not as high as it could be, it's still a concern for those prone to falling.
•You can easily walk to several restaurants in town from this location!

Covid
•Most of the time, you're indoors reading plaques. Even on the day we went, when nothing in St. Augustine was busy, it was extremely hard to social distance here except on the top of the fort.
•Masks are not required, and are hard to wear when it's incredibly hot out.
•Most of the staff was masked up when we went.
•There are hand sanitizer stations inside the fort at various places.

History - right in your hands! Being from Pacific NW was moved by some similarities separated by years and a continent!

This is a great site to see during the day and at night (at night you can only walk the moat). The history is really amazing and sometimes brutal.

Loads of interesting history, amazing in every way possible! Don't go to St. Augustine and NOT go the Fort, you won't regret it! The one and ONLY thing that was a disappointment was they didn't do the reenactment show due to Covid. Even with that, it was still worth the trip!

We toured the Castillo in under two hours and had fun exploring and learning more about its historical significance. Any trip to St. Augustine would be incomplete without a visit here. Do the Junior Ranger program!
