After years of trying out numerous offices and therapists, I have finally found my happy place at Catalyst. The environment is warm and inviting and the staff is great. Glad to finally find somewhere I can feel at home.

As a fellow mental health professional, I have worked with Celeste personally on cases for several years and she is extremely skilled as a therapist. I continue to refer clients to her with the utmost confidence and without hesitation. She is the best!

Going to therapy can be a scary and nerve wracking ordeal for anyone, but this place truly makes you feel at ease. The staff treats you like family and makes you feel super comfortable. I’ve been struggling to find a therapist that I like for a very long time and my search as come to an end when I found Celeste. Celeste and her team are truly great people who strive to provide the best service possible to everyone who steps through their doors!

Did re-unification counciling. I was told to “forget the past. ” It didn’t feel comfortable and the councilor was going back and forth with another session.

This office is so warm and welcoming, like a family. The staff is lighthearted, friendly and humorous. They make you feel at ease. Celeste is very patient, supportive and provides much insight. This agency did a lot to support the community during the holidays.

Today I had an appointment with Celeste, the head clinician, and I left the office absolutely livid because of my experience there.

I showed up 15 minutes early for my 6: 00pm appointment so I could fill out the new patient packet. When I walked in, there were three receptionists and one person waiting and none of them were wearing masks. This was a big red flag for me because Osceola county does have a mask mandate, but I wanted to at least see how the therapist was. As I filled out my paperwork, I overheard the receptionists as they talked with each other and one of them was on the phone setting up another new client with an appointment. I overheard the receptionist on the phone set up that new client with a Spanish speaking therapist, and I also heard her mispronounce the word “Spanish” as “spaloosh. ” For the remainder of the call, the other two receptionists repeated “spaloosh” and laughed loudly. After the receptionist making the call got off the phone, the three of them laughed about it and I overheard one of them say that “he barely understands English as it is, you don’t need to make it harder for him. ” They continued laughing, and I overheard one of them say “you guys need to stop, or that poor girl in the waiting room will never come back. ” By this time, I was very upset and wanted to walk out, but still wanted to see how the appointment would go. They continued their conversation and it had something to do with Michael Jackson, and one of them said “If I hear one more thing about Michael Jackson, I’m gonna stab my ears off. ” At this point, I was livid. I couldn’t believe that they joked about self-mutilation in a therapy office, where it is significantly more likely that those words could be heard by a particularly vulnerable person. They continued the conversation, and I heard one of them say something about turning into Van Gogh. Again, I was absolutely appalled that they thought it was okay to joke about self-mutilation in a therapy office. At 6: 03, Celeste finally walked out of her office with her previous appointment. Immediately afterwards, she disappeared, and nobody checked in with me. I waited until 6: 10 before I stood up and talked to the two receptionists that were still at the front desk. I told them that it was 6: 10 and my appointment was supposed to start ten minutes before that time, and I was appalled by their unprofessionalism, which included making fun of a person’s ability to speak English. One of the receptionists interrupted me to tell me that they were making fun of her. I told her that I was leaving, and promptly walked out. Normally I wouldn’t mind waiting for an appointment to start, but this office made it clear that clients are not their priority.

On my way home, Celeste called and left a voicemail. She opened the message by saying she was the owner, and said she wasn’t sure what happened, and she said that she would like to talk to me about what happened. She also said that they would automatically refund half of my copay, but keep the other half as a missed visit fee. When I called back, I told Celeste about the comments made by her receptionists except the one calling me a poor girl that wouldn’t come back. She told me that she would talk to them about it, because things that they say could be “offensive or misconstrued by certain people. ” Celeste also told me that because she is the owner, sometimes she has to take care of urgent things with staff and that’s why she wasn’t with me right away. She said that she extends time when she needs to, but that doesn’t take other peoples schedules into consideration. I also told her that I didn’t agree with them keeping half of my copay as a missed visit fee because I was absolutely there. She argued that I left without giving her a chance to work things out, and she also told me that I wasted that hour of her time. After she told me that, I ended the call while saying that her saying that I wasted her time says a lot.

What can I say? I was referred to Celeste by a counselor friend. I was looking for answers for my then 13 year old and no one else saw what I saw. The moment I met her, I knew she would help my girl. She and Celeste clicked, Celeste knew right away how to help her and made such a difference in her behavior! Teachers and school admin noticed right away and still comment on how far she’s come in her journey. Celeste has been a godsend to our family and I highly recommend her.

I started seeing Casee and Celeste to help me with my PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. The environment was warm and welcoming. They welcomed me, took time to listen and understand me, and empowered me to face my inner demons. I've had negative counseling experiences in the past (at other counseling agencies), but Celeste and Casee are great. If you've ever had issues with another mental health provider, I would highly recommend going to them and giving counseling another chance. Not only did they help me, they've helped my family to understand what I've been going through and how they can help me on my mental health journey. They're advocators, educators, counselors and friends in my mental health journey.
