How do you thank someone for giving you back your life as you knew it before. There is so much positivity in this office that you will feel and believe it too. Dr. Liang genuinely cares about his patient's well being.

I went for an issue with my neck which is so much better. On the second visit, I mentioned my chronic knee issues. Dr. Liang did acupuncture on both knees (including injections). The results are truly amazing. My knees have not felt this well in many years!
So I too will pass along a recommendation for Dr. Liang and his practice!

After 4 years of suffering symptoms that significantly limited my ability to live independently, I visited over 20 doctors in a variety of fields and remained undiagnosed. Nobody could explain my cluster of symptoms–episodes of painful bowel movements, upper back & neck muscle cramping and spikes in blood pressure that would literally floor me. I even sought help from holistic doctors, acupuncturists, chiropractor, and made diet changes.

My road towards resolving my problem started with visit to acupuncturist Dr Shan Liang and realizing he could trigger my symptoms via my bowels. Dr Liang told me that have some blockage but he was not sure what it was. That confirmed that symptoms to my upper body come from my bowels as I suspected.
I visited then GI Dr John C. Southerland and he diagnosed me with pelvic problem and sent me for treatment to Dr Lisa Johnson, an excellent specialist in Pelvic physical therapy. She diagnosed me with pelvic prolapse and strongly recommended to visit regional expert in pelvic reconstruction Dr Lennox Hoyte. I visited Dr Lennox Hoyte who told me that my bowels movements were affected by prolapse and scars. He operated on me and resolved all my problems.
Dr Liang deserve a lot of credit for starting my road to recovery and in helping me a lot with my symptoms while I still was searching and waiting to be diagnosed.
By applying Acupuncure treatment and Traumeel injections he successfully was releasing spasm in my neck and back.
Dr Liang is excellent acupuncturists, very professional, knowledgeable, respectful, with excellent office environment and staff.
He helped me a lot along the way and I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Liang was recommended by my massage therapist for any kind of relief for a trigger thumb, and arthritis iin my hand. Of course I was a bit nervous on my first visit. The office staff and Dr. Liang put me at ease and explained the different treatments giving me the choice of treatments. After the first week, I saw about 30% less pain, and with each visit I am able to do more and more activities without pain. I am so grateful to Dr. Liang and his staff and would recommend without hesitation.

I was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy at 6 months pregnant. Even though I work in the medical field I was freaking out because I didn’t know much about Bell’s palsy and how it would affect my baby. Dr. Milligan is a wealth of knowledge. She nurtured my face back to health, she educated me on the do’s and don’ts. I am happy to report my face is about 90% back to normal. I do not write reviews of any kind but feel I need to share my experience with Dr. Liang who have been incredible caring and knowledgeable. He was able to help me with acute flares of itch around my joints. It was going on for a year and I had seen dermatologists and doctors on the issue with no relief at all. In 4 weeks I felt 80% of relief and am so thankful. Dr. Liang knew exactly what was causing the itch and his acupuncture combined with homeopathic and oriental medicine took care of it and brought my quality of life and happiness back! Dr Milligan and the staff are excellent. Very professional and caring. Dr. Milligan takes the time to explain the rationale for treatment being provided and most importantly listen to what her patients are saying. They have helped me and my family with many different conditions and provided treatments and care that produced quick results. Being able to avoid taking medications for my pain condition is a wonderful option. Dr. Milligan helps you understand where the line of effectiveness is between what her treatments can do for you and the more Western approaches can. Simply put they provide a compassionate, effective and honest service and practice. I cannot find enough words and praise to express my appreciation and satisfaction.

After struggling with weeks of terrible migraines and dizziness spells, I decided to give acupuncture a try. I have had 4 sessions of acupuncture done by both Dr. Milligan and Dr. Liang and could not be more pleased. In just two weeks I feel about an 80% improvement, now able to go about my days in the ways I normally would. I was very frustrated as I was not receiving answers or relief from any recommendations prior to coming here. Long review worth reading if you're in pain. I'm healthy and eat well, yet had a problem with my hip and back that no one seemed able to diagnose or help me heal over a six year period. After years of physical therapy, a committed daily yoga practice and miles of walking, weekly chiropractic care, and two orthopedic doctors (who both suggested that I take a cortisone injection for diagnostic purposes-which I did not do), Dr. Liang and his team alleviated 6 years of pain within 3 WEEKS! You read that correctly-and not only is the pain gone, but he also gave me a proper diagnosis by looking at the same MRI results as all of the other doctors I went to. Unlike some doctors who read my lab results without examining me, Dr. Liang is an expert at palpating the muscles and was able to hone in on an accurate and appropriate diagnosis and treatment very quickly. I had become so accustomed to living with pain that I was joyfully startled by feeling the lack of it. I'm grateful beyond words for Dr. Liang's effective and compassionate care, as well as for Dr. Milligan (another wonderful acupuncturist in the office), and his entire staff and students. Every single one them always greeted me with a smile and sincere kindness. The vibe in the office is upbeat, clean, organized and serene. I can not say enough good things about The Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dr. Liang has literally given me back my life. I wish I would of found him 3 years ago!
I was hit by a semi truck, and I lived in pain everyday for the past 3 years. Every morning I woke up with a headache, pain in my neck, head, and left shoulder that would get worse throughout the day. I tried massages, cupping, chiropractor, pain management, physical therapy, nerve blocks, stretching.anything to help relieve the pain; but nothing worked or lasted.
I began to feel extremely exhausted 24/7 from being in pain all the time and not being able to sleep. My primary doctor then diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue syndrome (“Which there is no cure for”).
My days mainly consisted of laying down with an Ice pack or heating pad, trying to get any kind of relief. I began to get very depressed because it was so debilitating. I couldn’t do and enjoy the things I use to. The pain was taking over my life. I was missing time with my family, friends, and work. I thought to myself. “if this is “living”, then I don’t want to live anymore. I was at my breaking point. Then a friend of mine mentioned Dr. Liang. The moment I walked in the office I felt very welcomed by the receptionist. The office has a warm, welcoming, and uplifting feeling to it. Every employee I’ve had an encounter with, is very pleasant to be around and shows they really care.
Dr. Liang and the staff helping, took the time to listen and find out what the underlying problem is in order to fix it. He is extremely professional, and caring at the same time. He truly cares about helping his patients, and it shows.
After my first session I no longer had headaches (which is a miracle since I lived the past 3 years with a headache). After a few sessions I no longer had the severe neck and shoulder pain, I was able to sleep, and my brain fog disappeared. I am shocked how well this worked! I was also able to get off my muscle relaxers, anti inflammatory meds, and anti depressant since seeing Dr. Liang. I’m sleeping through the night and feeling well rested in the morning as well.
He also realized that I was missed diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and that I actually had Adrenal fatigue. He put me on a natural supplement, and within 3 days I felt a huge improvement. I FINALLY feel like my old energetic, full of life self again. I can’t thank Dr. Liang enough for giving me back my life. He is a true healer!

P. S. I also dealt with migraines since I was a kid. I got them every month and it would normally last 2-4 days. But since seeing Dr. Liang, I have not had a migraine.
