Chalan on the Beach reviews
15The waitress Elizabeth's recommendation was super accurate. He recommended the three-color ceviche, which was spectacular. Chalán is already a tradition when I come to Miami. Come, eat delicious, and have some Cusqueñas, you won't regret it!
Simply spectacular. First time coming to Miami and one of the best seafood meals. And the attention, not to mention super friendly and gentle. They don't deserve a ten, I give them a thousand.
Best meal we had in Miami! The Lomo Saltado medium rare is divine. Also the chilled Peruvian beer in an ice cold mug after a hot day on the beach is fantastic. My husband had the Arroz con Mariscos and all of the seafood was fresh and flavorful! I highly recommend walking over from the beach or any of the hotels on Collins to get a fantastic fresh and authentic Peruvian meal. The homemade hot sauce was also fabulous.
Expensive for what it is…. You can live without visiting it. I ordered the rice with seafood, it was delicious.
Had the ceviche trio, pescado de mariscos and aji de gallona. The pescado de mariscos was amazing and the sauce was so delicious and addictive, especially with the rice. Would highly recommend. The pictures don’t do it justice.
Food was okay but over priced. Wasn't expecting to wait close to 5 minute to pay for the food especially when called in advanced for pick up. There wasn't even a line. Just bad service.
Peruvian restaurant, but not authentic Peruvian test, I had a second de res a was so bad, ceviche was bad also. By go to the bathroom you can see the kitchen an is so dirty …. Is a place to not go back again….
Elizabeth was our server tonight for our last night in Miami. Her attention was great and so was the food and the rest of the staff. She explained was the food was since it was our first time here. Highly recommend!
Chalán is an authentic Peruvian restaurant. As our group had minimal knowledge of Peruvian cuisine, Elizabeth was so generous in describing all her favorite items on the menu. We ultimately ordered pollo saltado, tallarines verdes con bistec, and arroz a la jardinera - all of which were delicious. Thank you Elizabeth for your kindness and great conversation, and Chalan staff for the amazing service.
We ordered Chicharrón de Calamar, Lomo Saltado and Tallarines verdes con Bistec, it was really good but maybe we expected more, the portions were fair enough. Restaurant location was perfect!
If you looking for home cooked food, this is one of few places in south beach. Authentic flavors, great service. You get ur money’s worth. You can tell from the crowd who eat here that’s it the real deal. Compared to everything touristy in the neighborhood. Try the lomo saltado.
I went there twice. Mostly for spicy seafood. Food was great but not spicy. But they gave spicy sauce (green) which was awesome. Service was great. Definitely going again.
The food is top notch and the service is unbeatable. The decor could use a renovation, but it is an understandably low priority for them.
The fish consomme is a must have. Very clean and clear umami flavor profile, with generous portions of high quality white fish.
The lomo saltado has a very robust and concentrated beef flavor. If you love the flavor of grass-fed beef, this will probably be up your alley as well.
The chicken stew is good but too salty by a factor of two.
The sangria's flavor profile is too mild compared to some others out there. It could benefit from having a stronger taste of wine.
Would be interested in coming back to try the whole fried fish (not sure of the exact name of that dish).
The food was amazing. I ordered the arroz con Mariscos.same as a Paella. English for Seafood n Rice.the service was great.the waitress was attentive.the location was cozy
