Chamblin Bookmine reviews
19Greatest bookstore in the Jax/St. Augustine area. New and used. Trade ins accepted. The place is huge!
More books than you're imagining just looking at it. Like, imagine a number and triple it. More than that. I'm about 60% certain there's a door to another world hidden in the book maze. Fantastic!
The woman in the children's section was so nice and helpful! Anyone needing to know ANYTHING regarding education for children or anything relating to stories for children.she can help!
This is the most AMAZING used bookstore I’ve ever been to! 3 football fields of books are here. They even have a glass case with hard-to-find first editions and signed copies. Such a Jax gem!
I have never been to such a cool store. Seriously, you can't imagine the sheer amount of books in this place until you walk in. It's a GIGANTIC building, and every bit of space has been allocated to bookshelves and thousands of books. I lost my husband for a good bit of time when we went the first time, that's how big it is! They have great deals on used books, and a lot of different discounts and fair pricing on newer books as well. Their trade in policy is also a really cool idea; I plan on bringing a huge box of books on my next visit to get some trade in points on a new round of books! 10/10, if you're a book lover, you definitely have to experience it at least once. It's my new favorite place!
What a place! This bookstore is a true Jem. The books are stacked from the floor to the ceiling and all the shelves are arranged to make a maze, at least that's how I felt and it was book heaven. They are also unbelievably organized with that many books! I couldn't believe it! They even have shelves with books per vegetable which I thought was hilarious and adorable.
This is a humongous bookstore. We like to bring in old books and trade them in for something new-to-us! Fast and friendly service.
I always enjoy coming here. I love getting lost in the maze of books, and I usually find something new and interesting to read.
Would give this 10 stars if I could. Beyond helpful staff, get great, great priced books. You can bring in your used book to sell for store credit, awesome large print section, "how to" music publications, cook books, local and general history books, collectibles, sets.it's huge. Go get lost in the stacks for fun!
It's a perfect store for finding rare books for sure. There is without doubt books here for everyone in your home. And I rather go here than the library now.
Great place to get a book. You can bring in your books to get a book credit and use it to get your next fix. People here are nice and you loose track of time scanning through the books.
A Jacksonville landmark. Been coming here since I was a kid. Convenient trade-in program to help with new books purchases. You can easily spend hours in here combing the shelves for interesting topics, or get with the friendly staff to find what you are looking for.
Amazing (not) little store, great local business. Well organized and you can get lost for days in here looking for anything you want. The staff is very welcoming and helpful!
If you love books you are MISSING out if you have never been here. Plan for hours, you’ll get lost. So much to see!
A fantastic used book store. Walk in and it's like you've entered a magical world where the rooms and volumes of books just never end. I swear that many rooms cannot fit into the building. All the books are well organized by category. They pay well for your books to.
An intricate maze filled to the roof with literature of any kind. Really a wonderful store with great prices.
This place is huge! So many books, it was really overwhelming. Book nerds could get lost in here for days, fun place to go for a first date for a couple of readers, and excellent for those who want to support a small local business.
Huge selection of books which is comparable to McKay’s Bookstore in Knoxville. But Chamblin’s prices are much, much higher than McKay’s. Store is well organized. They give you about $2 a book in trade. However, I found a book I have not seen anywhere, so I left a happy camper after my first visit there.
