I’ll start my review of Dr. Koller by saying that I had only three interactions with him and his team, the consult, the procedure, and post-op visit. I‘ve owned a service business for over thirty years and to achieve a 5-star review from me was not possible, until now.

Dr. Koller and his team have an elite skill set, from identifying your problem, outlining the procedure, correcting that problem, and most of all communicating it to you in language we all understand. We were not rushed, we had questions, and they were answered with the confidence you absolutely must expect from your Surgeon. If you are contemplating a surgery that falls within his surgical purview, look no further. You could not be in better hands.

The Surgical Center personnel are highly qualified and you are family under their care. Dr. Koller and his team repaired an umbilical hernia in less than two hours, that had plagued me for the past two years. At 7 days out there is no pain, in fact I don’t feel as though I’ve even had surgery.

We did not “Luck out” in finding the Winter Park Surgical Associates. We did our homework and these reviews were of great help, which is why I’m doing this review. Hopefully, these comments will help you in narrowing your search, and land you on the same choice I made. Lastly, growing up my father used to say to me “Remember kid, as good as you think you are, there’s always somebody better. ” Well, we found him, and his entire staff. Thank you Dr. Koller and your entire team for a great experience in an otherwise.uncomfortable situation.

I’ve been in severe pain for over 3 weeks now. I’m a 42 year old black female. When I was around 32, I had to have ovarian cysts removed. While the surgeon was removing the cysts, he noticed I needed an umbilical hernia repaired so he placed a mesh to repair the hernia while already in there. The mesh ended up causing an infection so he had to go back in and remove it. He assured me that eventually I would have to have it repaired again. I remembered that conversation about 2 weeks ago and thought that could be what’s causing my pain. I made an appointment with Dr. Killer’s office to spend less than 5 minutes in the office with Dr. Koller. I spent more time with the nurse than I did with him. He had me stand up and cough a few times then looked at me and said, “well, I don’t feel anything so no surgery for you! ” I expected him to maybe send me off for more testing or something to try and figure out what’s causing my pain and see if maybe I have a hernia that he couldn’t feel with his hands. Nope! He made me get up, follow him to the front desk and walked away after pointing for me to see the receptionist to take my $150 copay. I’ve never felt so unheard or dismissed before in my life. When I got back into my car, I cried my heart out, not because of my physical pain but the emotional pain from that visit with Dr. Koller. I’ve been to the emergency room TWICE now because I’m in so much pain. Both visits could not figure out what’s causing the pain but both also said they see an umbilical and groin hernia in the MRI that was taken in my initial ER visit. I’ve heard so many stories in my life of black women going through situations where they’re sick or are in severe pain but aren’t believed and treated properly but never in a million years did I think I’d experience this. I’m still dealing with this severe pain and no one knows why. I hope the next person in my situation with my same background has a much better experience with Dr. Koller than I did

I had a very positive experience with Dr Koller and his office staff. Everything from scheduling my initial appointment to my follow up after surgery was handled exceptionally well. I was appreciative that I didn’t have to wait weeks to be seen. I highly recommend Dr Koller if you need a surgeon.

I’m so glad I went to visit Dr. Koller for my situation. I will say the office is so cozy, clean and the staff including the PA are very nice, friendly and professional. Dr. Koller listened and helped me with my situation. He performed a minor surgery in his office and everything was sterile, and I didn’t feel nothing at all. He and the PA would tell me step by step what was being done. I felt safe and was not scared at all. I recommend Dr. Koller as a surgeon to anyone, he knows what he is doing, he has good bed side manners and cares for his patients.

I developed an epigastric hernia during the beginning of the covid pandemic. After careful research I decided to wait until it was "safe" to seek medical attention. After one year it was time to go. I have never had a broken bone or even a stitch in my 70 years of a very active life (thankfully). So for me this was a big deal, my first ever health experience. I chose Dr. Charles J. Koller for my hernia repair. I wanted someone who has a lot of experience and does many Hernia repairs. I wanted the Laparoscopic surgery and out the same day would have seemed impossible only a few short years ago. So I drove from Port Orange to see him. Among the many reasons for my decision were the comments made by all the people on this forum. Many were from a distance away, Astor FL, and others.
From my very first visit he and his staff made me feel comfortable. His office ran like an efficient, well run machine.
My next visit would be at Winter park surgical associates. They checked me in promptly and the RN Vickie, was fantastic. Dr Grant was nice to talk to and assured my comfort.
I am at the six week point as I write this and I can honestly say This was the best decision. Dr. Koller was fantastic and I thank him and his staff for a beautiful experience.

This guy is incompetent. Find a different doctor even if they are not on your insurance.

He palpated the patient, and proceeded to tell them that it was all in their head and that the pain would just go away.

Since the pain had been mildly persistent for years and recently started to interfere with work, and the fact that another doctor had referred to Dr. Koller based on an ultra-sound indicating a hernia. Dr. Koller could have suggested something better than it is in your head and will go away on its own.

Now we have had to go back to the referring Dr.to find a different solution.

Excellent experience from July 2015 for a laparoscopic hernia repair. This is where I realized to always find a specialist for specific healthcare needs. Thank you, Dr. Koller.

From the initial appointment and diagnosis, to the final surgery, Dr. Koller and staff are the ultimate professionals. Surgeries at performed on Mondays and Fridays, I was scheduled for Monday morning, there was a power outage at the surgical building that day and canceled my surgery. Rather than reschedule me for another Monday or Friday, Dr Koller set me up for the very next day, Tuesday. The surgery was a success and went exactly as he explained. Special thanks to Dr Koller, P. A. Courtney, anesthesiologist Dr. Grant, RN Vickie and the entire staff at the University surgical Center. You all make a great team! Highly recommend to everyone!

I visited Dr Charles Koller's office and he told me that I have hernia and need surgery. What an experience it was. He has a pleasant personality and most of all he listens to what I had to say. He has a great staff and I will recommend him to anyone.

I saw Dr. Koller for my very painful Pilonidal Cyst. I needed surgery, but I was hesitate about the process. He made me feel very confident about everything. Not only was he professional and did an amazing job, but he made the process very easy and comforting. Surgery went perfectly and everything is healing exactly like it should be. I am pain free! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Koller, thank you so much for taking care of me. My life is better because of you!

It's an excellent place and a good location, doctor is professional and very knowledgeable, my only issue and why I gave them 4 is the wait time, 45 min to an hour waiting with an appointment is plain down ridiculous, time is money and respect for people time needs to be shown. Maybe not booking so many patients at the same time would help, (which it might be impossible given how popular the Doctor is) other than that it's a great place.

I waited a couple of years to make sure the surgery really took.and what can I say: it did. Instead of almost daily pain, I can now live an almost normal life thanks to Dr Koller. He diagnosed a nerve issue and proposed a targeted procedure that solved what 3 other surgeries could not. I couldn't be more thankful Mr. Koller you have changed my life for the better after four years of searching for a solution to my chronic hernia pain.

Dr Koller and his whole staff are wonderful. From my initial consultation to surgery Dr Koller was confident and willing to answer every question. Even after I left his office I had a couple more questions and I called and Elizabeth got the answers for me immediately. The surgery went awesome at USC. The staff there were awesome. Dr Koller came in before surgery to put my mind at ease and answer all questions and concerns I might have. Surgery went great and I was home that afternoon in almost no pain. All I take now is Advil. Post op 3 days now and just some bloating and soreness. But the Advil takes care of it. Had a concern on Friday night called Dr Koller and he responded promptly. Had a few more questions today and got my answers immediately. What a great staff. Follow up next Monday. As a side note before you have hernia surgery just look into getting in and out of bed. It will save you much discomfort going back and forth to the bathroom. To be continued UPDATE:
It has been 8 weeks since Dr Koller performed my double inguinal hernia surgery. I have absolutely no pain, no soreness and feel great. Back to playing pickleball for 3 weeks now and playing at a high level with zero discomfort. If you need hernia surgery, I traveled over an hour to go to Dr Koller, I highly recommend him. Again Dr Koller and his whole staff are incredible. Thank you Dr Koller
