Great Experience! I had FUT surgery just about a week ago and i cant comment on the results yet (although, i have 3 friends that have all had great results so I am expecting the same), the experience was as great! One of my best friends who actually referred me to Dr Charles traveled from NY to see him after quite a bit of research.

The staff makes you feel like you are at home. They make sure you are comfortable the whole time. I didn't experience any pain really other than the first couple mins while they are numbing the site. Which i would compare to first couple mins of a tattoo, I was comfortable through the whole process and actually was able to work from my laptop the whole time, although they gave me option to be a little more sedated if I chose.

The after care was also not bad. A little discomfort sleeping on the donor site first night but afterwords it wasn't bad at all with just Tylenol and Advil. Overall, just a great experience with great people!

I found Dr. Charles on Instagram and was impressed with the videos that I saw, in which he explained how the process works, the different transplant methods, etc. I reached out to them and Patricia, Patient Coordinator, helped me schedule a free consultation with Dr. Charles. I had a great experience from the moment I walked into the office. I was immediately greeted and they made me feel at ease. After a brief meeting with Patricia to discuss the history of hair loss in my family and what my goals and expectations were, I was introduced to Dr. Charles. He made my feel very comfortable and explained the science behind hair loss, the success potential, and the treatments available for me, taking into consideration my family history and the quality of my donor area. We both agreed that the FUE treatment was the most appropriate for me. I returned for my treatment about a month after the initial consultation. I was the only patient scheduled for treatment that day. That made me feel that I was very important for them and that they were committed to a successful surgery. Everyone was very friendly. Dr. Charles, Haley, Roberto and the rest of the staff made me feel at ease at all times and helped me stay calmed during the process. The surgery was a complete success and they took the time to talk to me about the recovery process and the do's and don'ts during the new few weeks. Patricia and Dr. Charles kept in touch with me for the first 2-3 days after the surgery and were available to answer my calls at any time. I recommend Dr. Charles and his team for anyone looking for a hair transplant surgery and can't wait to see the full results in the next few months!

I owe this man SO much. He restored my sanity, peace of mind, and self-confidence.

By 25, my hair was so thin in the front that I honestly thought my days of being physically attractive were behind me. I was single, and I really thought I was going to die alone because I would never be able to win a girl over with my personality lol.

Dr. Charles gave me an estimate over Skype. It wasn’t the cheapest I found, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Dr. Charles is the best in the business. My hair felt like one of those things. I signed up for (I believe) it was 8,000 follicles using the ARTAS machine. I flew all the way down from Alabama, and Dr. Charles’ staff helped me coordinate everything.

Dr. Charles shaved my head before surgery and used an eyeliner pen to mark the semi circle he would be filling. He said his strategy was to focus on the front 3rd of my crown because that was most visible to people.

The surgery was long and quite painful at times, but I knew what I was signing up for. The machine was super cool and high tech. My anesthesia wore off a couple of times, and they had to give me a couple extra doses of local anesthetic. But I’m a big guy with reddish hair, so medicine seems to have less effect on me. Anyway, the robot was really cool. It was a very long and uncomfortable surgery, but the nurses were very friendly and did everything they could to make it better. Flying home, you’re quite uncomfortable and in a fair amount of pain. But you’re hopeful and excited, so it doesn’t matter.

A few weeks after I got home, I was studying my scars and found something a little disappointing. The shape he had filled on my head.the “semi-circle” was asymmetrical. On one side of my head, my hairline was a half inch higher at the edge where it connected to my sideburn. I found an eyeliner pen to mark what I was talking about and worked up the courage to text Dr. Charles some pictures.

I felt really bad complaining because he and the staff had been friendly and professional, but I had never spent so much money on anything in my entire life. I hated to feel disappointed with it. But Dr. Charles was great. He responded immediately that he would make it right. They bought me a second flight, covered my hotel room and meals, and fixed my hairline at at no additional cost.

The second time, he did not use the ARTAS machine and instead did it manually. He said ARTAS was really to protect against human arm fatigue during a really long surgery, and he was just doing a small patch this time so he wouldn’t get fatigued. Dr. Charles did express some annoyance that I had caused such a big stink over something he considered trivial. But I can and won’t complain because the results are what matter. He handled it. He made me promise to write this review one day, and I apologize that it’s taken me so long.

They warn you that it takes 9 months to a year before you really start to see results. Maybe after about 6 months (plus Propecia), I started to get thin little hairs visible. After a year, you could tell a huge difference. I had to learn how to style my hair a little differently. If I try to give it volume, you can see my scalp. But if I keep it long and flat and swoosh it to the side a little, I look just like I did when I was 22 years old.

And this is still true now that I’m 32. My hair looks GREAT. My friends and family are consistently amazed. Every single new person I tell about my surgery is absolutely shocked. No one would ever guess that I was visibly bald 7-8 years ago. I feel handsome again. I started dating again, and now I’m married with a 4 year old son. I can’t possibly explain what it feels like to go from hating what you’ve become in the mirror back to loving the way you look. It feels like I went backwards in a time machine and found the fountain of youth. It feels like I made a black magic deal with the devil or something. I try hard not to take it for granted after all this time because it is truly magical.

Thank you Dr. Charles. Love the staff as well. Definitely need to consult with Patrcia. Dr. Charles is clearly a competent surgeon. His assistants are well trained. It is vitally important that the assistants are competant as they do a lot of the hair placement. Make sure it is not a transient staff. Insure they have been with the doctor for a good period of time and are on the same page.

So my experience with Charles Medical Group was nothing short of magical. It started with a very pleasant receptionist that attended me when I first made my appointment (nice receptionists aren't anything unique but it is something noteworthy). I personally made a hour+ drive for this place because of the free consultation they provided (I believed it was well worth the drive after extensively looking into Dr. Charles' surgical history). Once I arrived, the establishment was extremely clean, roomy and I was attended immediately during normal office hours. I spoke with Dr. Charles' assistant to first reiterate my intentions and plans with my hair and to find out what I have tried before (Normal stuff but I felt reassured that they were taking these foundation building steps). Finally once I was in the same room with Dr. Charles, we both spoke extensively about what I want from a hair transplant and everything else to with the procedure. We spoke about the Pros&Cons of both procedures without any bias into either procedure, we spoke about help I could receive NOW to help keep/grow any hair between now and the procedure date, we ended up speaking about anything that came to mind. In doing all of this, Dr. Charles and his assistants cleared any doubt and concern about the procedure. Doubt and concerning feeling I carried with me for a long time. I couldn't have asked for a better consultation.

-The consultation was 100% free, Dr. Charles and his employees did not gain anything from my visit. (Aside from this review i guess)
-I am writing this review a few days after my consultation date because I needed time to collect my thoughts and fact check the information told to me. (everything they told me was 100% correct)
-I still feel like I made the right decision going to Dr. Charles office that day.

I had a great experience at Dr. Charles office. From the first phone call to the follow up visit the entire personnel was very profesional and very pleasant. I highly recomend them.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Charles and his team at Charles Medical Group. I learned about Dr. Charles through a referral. Dr. Charles was very knowledgable, which I expected given his many years of experience and track record of results. But one quality that really stood out, and is difficult to predict with doctors, is his care towards patients and their individual needs.

Dr. Charles went above and beyond to assure that I was comfortable with the approach for my treatment and satisfied with the outcome. He addressed each and every one of my questions, concerns, or hesitations. Similarly, his Patient Coordinator, Alexia, fielded several of my calls to answer questions and communicated very effectively throughout the process.

The entire team at Charles Medical Group was tremendous - in particular, the technicians: Jenny, Hailey, and Robert. Very straight up and ethical surgeon, will tell what can and cannot be accomplished. Definitely worth having a consult with if your considering hair restoration. Had a surgery had a young age in the Fort Lauderdale area with a very poor result and came to Dr. Charles to see what can be done, Had surgery last week and the attention to detail was definitely on display.
