Chassahowitzka River Boat Launch reviews
8Great area to launch your boat, kayak, or canoe. Nice lil store conveniently located. Great spot for renting canoe kayak and john biats. Small parking fee is rrequired. Boat to the caves underwater or just enjoy the beautiful Chaz. I grew up swimming fishibg and camping on Chaz and love it still every time I visit!
Friendly staff and locals. It's busy and humming, so it moves quick. Parking find up quick, but if you time it right, someone is leaving and you can get a spot.
Check the tides though. Paddle boarding is tough when the water level is very shallow and the fins get stuck on things.
Still a great place
Oh and one last thing. Men's room was clean
I’ll be honest I’m beyond disappointed with you guys for no longer allowing any trolling motors to be brought. That will take away from your business and it’s not fair. If one person made a mistake with it, you should ban them, not punish everyone. I took work off next week to come and enjoy one of your guys’ boats and now we can’t. It’s just disappointing and i find the new rule incredibly childish. You should reconsider. Or at least allow people to sign waivers.
Awesome little place to launch your boat or canoe to visit the springs/caves. Nice people and nice atmosphere
We rented a canoe for 3 people and it had perfectly enough room and kept all our stuff dry. The employees at the shop and that help us put our boat in the water were very nice and helpful about our questions. The boat took us right to several springs, including the furthest and hardest to get to, the crack, which was also the most beautiful. 45$ for a 3 person canoe. 45$ for a 2 person kayak. They had single kayak and paddle-board rentals as well. Parking- 5$ for a car, 7$ for a car with a trailer. Would recommend
Absolutely beautiful paddling experience. We saw otters, burds, plenty of fish and alligators!
Brought own canoe, easy to navigate, parking lot full would advise arrive before noon. People like to park their kayaks in the launch area and no where to be seen blocking others from getting a quick launch. But otherwise great area to explore, water level really low in multiple areas.
