Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' reviews
17Read all the previous reviews so maybe I was over expecting. Food was good but very overpriced for what it is. Service was wonderful, which is common for anything Disney.
Everything was amazing, we per usual, but our bartender Chris from Cooper City, FL was amazing and went above and beyond! Made our dining experience so fun! Hope to see him again on our next visit.
Holy cow what a place. The atmosphere, the food, the portions of said food, the drinks, all of it! We loved our first visit, and will definitely be back. We had the charcuterie board, deviled eggs, biscuits, and fried green tomatoes as apps, and all were amazing. We both ate off the brunch menu, and we're so impressed. I had the Hallelujah Biscuit, and went to heaven; Shan has the Avocado Toast and loved it. Cocktails were delicious, I highly recommend the Florida Crush.
We had a wonderful experience here for brunch on Saturday morning. I was unsuccessful in getting a reservation, but thankfully they were able to accommodate us with no wait on the patio (it would have been about 15 minutes for a table inside, and bar seating was also available). The patio was shaded and had fans, so it wasn't too hot. We were greeted by Sherrod (sp?), Who was an excellent waiter. Very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great recommendations and was able to answer all our questions. We started with an appetizer of fried green tomatoes, which were phenomenal. Perfectly cooked and topped with a generous portion of thinly sliced ham and remoulade sauce. Delicious. For entrees, everything looked good and we couldn't decide, so we ended up getting 3 entrees to share: Chicken and Donuts, Short Rib Hash, and Shrimp and Grits. All three were very good. The cheddar biscuits were a hit, as were the kale and collard greens. We will definitely return so we can try more things on the menu!
Food was very good. Fried chicken was done very well. Mashed potatoes were tasty. The cheese biscuit was a bit of a disappointment. Flavor was good, but it was a bit dry.
It is always busy, so make reservations if you can. We walked up and sat outside at 9pm on a Friday. It would have been a 45 minute wait to sit inside.
Had a great date night. Drinks where great and strong food was also on point. Biscuits where perfect.
First time eating here. Food was absolutely amazing! Definitely will be eating here again! The dessert was absolutely delicious.
The food was amazing, loved the deviled eggs and the grilled chicken breast! The mac and cheese was amazing as well.would definitely recommend to a friend.
We arrived by chance and at first we thought it was a bit expensive but seeing the quantity and quality of the food and the service we were happy the meat is spectacular and the chicken soft and juicy
This place is phenomenal. If you like southern cookin this is your place. There aren’t enough wonderful words in the world to describe this place. I highly recommend the fried chicken and doughnuts
Firstly, the moonshine flight was really cool! Definitely worth tasting all of them, even if there’s a few you don’t vibe with as much. The colors and garnishes are beautiful, and the portions are very great for the price. The mahi sandwich was mostly breading than fish (pretty solid 70/30 ratio), which was super disappointing given the price. I’d say probably go for the chicken sandwich instead, which my friend had and was super good! The mac and cheese was divine, though! 100/10.
This was a very fun down-home country cooking restaurant. From fried chicken to chicken and dumplings, everything was fantastic! And to boot, they had moonshine mixed drinks that were so good!
Absolutely love this establishment, and come here often. Everything on the menu gives me grandma’s home cooking type vibes. Our server was Sherard, who was an extremely personable and articulate young man. He was very punctual and kept the drinks coming. Fun conversation •8 Mile•Eminem•Kid Rock• Stay clear of Saginaw after dark and much luck with the music, my friend!
Had brunch and it was awesome! We loved the food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend this experience if you’re headed to Disney Springs.book ahead though. Great way to spend our last day at WDW!
Great food and service! I understand that it's Southern cooking, but it could use more vegetarian/vegan options.
Whoa! Did not expect this place to be so awesome! Food was *chefs kiss* amazing and delicious. Drinks were super tasty. There honestly was nothing we tried that we didn't like. Will be back for sure.
An attempt at southern style food that fails miserably. The buttermilk marinaded chicken is gummy and pasty. It has a sweet sour flavor that tastes off or spoiled. The greens are so loaded with vinegar that they are inedible. The grits are coarse ground and by the time you try to eat them they are like cement. The biscuits are a Red Lobster rip off but Red Lobsters are better. The strawberry shortcake is a joke. A naked piece of cake with strawberries stuck in it. We we really anticipating a wonderful meal but it was terrible. The table next to us was complaining also. The much hyped dinner at Art Smiths Homecoming fell way short of what we expected. I would not recommend.
