Cheng's, Lake Mary FL

If I could give 0 stars I would. We decided to try Cheng’s for the first time today after it was recommended to us by someone we know. We ordered krab rangoon, sesame chicken and honey chicken. The Krab Rangoon was cold and gummy as if it had been reheated along with BOTH chicken dishes. The honey chicken was stuck together and cold as if it was taken out of the fridge and reheated. The sesame chicken was a little better but after 2 pieces I immediately began to feel my stomach turn. We brought the food back to the restaurant and explained our concerns in a professional manner only to be told “it’s not our fault if you did not like it”. I thoroughly explained to the woman “helping” us that the chicken was not properly cooked and tasted old. She was incredibly dismissive and rude and refused to even try and rectify the situation by either having the food remade or refunding us. She was belittling in the manner she spoke to us by saying that because there was sauce the chicken would not be crispy. I have eaten at MANY Chinese restaurants in my life and know what to expect. I told her this tasted like reheated leftovers. She asked us if it was our first time and we replied yes. She stated that she has never received any complaints and was again very defensive and disrespectful. As a business owner myself I would never treat first time customers or any customers in this manner. I cannot in good faith ever recommend this “restaurant” to anyone.

My husband is Chinese and he loves this place. We took him tonight for Father’s Day and had a fantastic meal. Everything was delicious!

Its been too long since I have eaten here but they did not disappoint! This place was my go to place when I worked in Lake Mary and started going there in 2005. I am thinking I may have to make the 30 min drive the next time I am craving Chinese because it is just that good! The Kung Pao chicken and house lo mein was banging tonight!

Please don't go to this place, unclean, terrible service, The service is so bad that they could throw the food in your face.

The worst place to eat, the service that I recive is unacceptable, if you want to have a good family time just don't go to this place.
