I had my first visit with Cherie yesterday based on the recommendation of a friend, and I wish I would've known about her years ago. Both she and her assistant were so friendly and comforting. At no point did I feel the typical awkwardness I'll get at a gyno appointment. I felt listened to and like I was welcome to discuss anything I needed to without it seeming like I was a burdern or holding her up from other matters. Another thing to note is that I weigh close to 300lbs. If you're also fat, I'm sure you know the struggle of finding health professionals who don't hyper focus on that. At no point was my weight discussed, which was appropriate since it had nothing to do with why I was there. It was so nice being able to get through a doctor's appointment without feeling fat shamed.
