Good place for a walk or trail ride. Usually see lots of deer and an occasional bear. Good footing for horses, dogs and people

Great for cycling (off-road) or horseback riding. The main trail is about a four mile loop. At one point earlier this fall there was a spot at the back of the loop where a small fenced off area is rented out for beehives so "Bee-ware" if you have allergies.

No restrooms or benches to stop and rest on the trail. No posts where you can tie up your horses for a break either. If the park had a few benches and hitching posts along the trail it would be a great place to stop and rest since walking it would be a 2 - 4 hour endeavor. It is about perfect for an hour horseback ride if you trot a bit. The trail is cleared about 20 ft wide the whole way so going faster than a walk on a horse is possible once you get past the 1st part that has chunky rocks.

I would suggest staying left (West) when you get back to the loop if you are riding a bike since the East side is very sandy. Then when you get to the back where the beehives are, turn around and go back the West way instead of continuing the circle. Cycling takes about 2 hours.

Just scouting the area for a planned Parks on the Air (POTA) activación this week.

The vegetation back in the trails is supergreen right now after they've done a recent controlled burn. Just the walk back to the fork is worthwhile and takes about 20-30 minutes if you're lollygagging along; the whole trail would take hours, bring water. Rural Park with maintained fencing, no restrooms or trash. Parking lot is somewhat tight for RVs but manageable when unpopulated and has a couple nice corners to nestle into. Mind the random sharp rocks.
