This place has a very decent food. My favorite is not on the menu but they make it for me anyway.tofu or shrimp with spicy black bean sauce. Great crab rangoons. Good chow mei fun. Friendly service. Better food than any other Chinese place in Wesley Chapel.
3 yrs later.still great. Just tried the hot and sour soup.the bomb. Spring rolls ten times better rhan crummy PF Chang in Tampa. Egg rolls super, too. Standby now is shrimp foo young.the brown sauce is so good!

First of all, the food has to be pretty bad for me to leave just one star. I don't know what happened to this place, as they used to be very good. Today, I splurged and bought four different meals, just so we could have a variety. First of all, the fried rice was so undercooked it was crunchy. I've had it many times and it's never been like this. The egg rolls were packaged in a bag that was dripping with grease. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, bourbon chicken, pork lomein, and pepper steak. I have to say, none of it was fresh and if I had to take a guess, I believe it was all leftover from yesterday. I am very very disappointed with our meal today. I won't be back again. Think twice before spending your hard earned money here.

Schezchuan chicken was perfect! Vegetable rice was by far the best out of ALL the Chinese restraunts around! Thank you for ALWAYS being so nice! Proud to have you in our neighborhood!

This is a good Chinese take out, I have never had a bad meal here once and the prices are very reasonable. The four seasons and happy family on the chef special section are awesome.

I have been going to this restaurant for years they have tremendously went downhill. Today was my last day wasting my money at this establishment.

Meat literally tasted like a poop maybe chicken wasn’t cleaned. Rice was old. Definitely better options in Wesley chapel

My go to Chinese spot! Great shrimp egg rolls and General Tso's chix. The owner Steve is very genuine and great owner. Remembers me everytime. Definitely recommend!

Awesome service and yummy food! I'm a regular at this place and the food it's always consistent.

Worst customer service EVER! Very disrespectful, screaming to customers. Too expensive for such a mediocre food. DONT RECOMMEND FIRST AND LAST TIME!

While waiting for my order, a huge cockroach strolled back and forth on the middle of the dining area floor. I know most restaurants have these issues, however, after seeing it I lost my appetite and wasn't willing to eat from here. I got the attention of the lady behind the counter and she ran out and stepped on it. The crunch was pretty loud, YUCK! She then picked it up with a tissue and tossed it in the garbage can behind the counter. I asked for my money back because I wasn't going to take my food home and eat it after seeing & hearing this, it just turned my stomach. My food wasn't ready but the lady faught me a little bit saying it probably came in from outside, I politely told her I saw where it came from (from near her area by the counter) and that I was in no mood to discuss it further and repeat my request of refunding my $24 for my order because I just wanted to leave at that point. She finally gave in and refunded my money. Needless to say, I have no intentions of ordering from here again because once you see it, you can't un-see it. I was going to go to a different type of restaurant in the area, however, what's going to be different at other places? Not much I thought, so I ended up going back home and made a sandwich. No restaurant is perfect, I know, but eat here at your own risk.

I ordered the Dragon & Phoenix and what a disappointment; The General Tso’s Chicken was either empty flour or chewy chicken, all the ends of approximately 5 shrimp had an odd texture; mushy. I had to spit out each shrimp and I couldn’t eat any of the chicken, definitely a waste of $18.99. I also ordered two pork egg rolls which was good but the packaged mustard tasted old. The owner was very nice. I won’t be having chinese food for a very long time.

China Gourmet has the best food if you ever want to try it out for yourself go for it I highly recommend it

A simple corner grab and go resturant. The business has been here since the building opened. Friendly management, staff, and great food. They're lovely folks, and a good part of the community.
