China Wok of Port Charlotte reviews
14 Edit: New 6/23 View Photos. If the front is greasy and moldy then what does the kitchen look like? Yes that is mold on those really old yellow page phone books.
Vegan Unfriendly. Actually laughed when asked if they could broil the tofu in Bbq sauce like their boneless spare ribs. Asked of they could add Bbq sauce to their tofu and broccoli.again with the laugh and quick sharp "no".
Very good Chinese dishes, reasonably priced, always hot and delicious! Wish they had delivery.
Average Chinese restaurant. Staff was friendly. The food was satisfying, despite not being the best Chinese food I’ve had.
Our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. You will find something you love here, promise. Great lunch specials. Recommend the General Tso’s, chicken teriyaki sticks, crab Rangoons, boneless bbq pork, and spicy as heck hot and sour soup. Lots more to try. Friendly folks, too. It’s a pleasure!
I ordered shrimp, not chicken! I don't eat chicken! Listen to the orders more carefully!
Fantastic Selection and Quality. Perfect. They have every type of food dish and more. You will.not be disappointed. Best Deal on West Coast of Florida.
Terrible. I had a stomach ache right after eating it, that turned into a morning of sadness on the commode. Do your gut a favor and skip this one.
First time back here in over a year. They changed their cooking style for the better. I had the Mongolia beef combo and it was delicious. This will be my goto Chinese restaurant for now on.
I would give this restaurant a negative review if I could. I had Szechuan Chicken and it was the worst thing ever, all it had was a little bit of chicken, onions and green peppers. My husband had Pad Thai and it was so bland he had to add Thai style Chili Sauce just to give it a little flavor. We ordered Krab Rangoon’s and half of them didn’t have any filling at all.
Seafood combo. We Couldn't eat it. Sea food must have been old. Had a strange taste. First time! Sadly I think the the last
Decent Chinese takeout, a few tables if you want to eat in. Food is good, portions large, pretty typical nice Chinese takeout.
The food is good, especially since this area isn't dripping with Chinese options, which is funny because it looks like stepping into New York City.
There is plexiglass between you and the them with a hole cut out to pass over your money, and a two-way drawer to get your food.
There are four tables.so technically you COULD dine there.maybe just not on a first date.
The tables were a tad sticky, and you could see into the kitchen (and at least on this particular night), could tell, even through the bullet proof glass, it should be more presentable.
To be fair the idea really is for pickup or delivery.
As far as that goes it's great.
It tastes like normal restaurant (American) Chinese food, and it has the obligatory 100+ menu options.
You get your money's worth, and even the shrimp or beef didn't taste old or funny.
The fried rice was crunchy enough (and wasn't too salty/MSGy)
The "Krab" Rangoon was a bit overfried, but still OK.
$45 out the door, feed 3 of us with left overs, enough for one or even two of us to have lunch.
We got:
Krab Rangoon; Special American Chineese Fried Shrimp, with Shrimp fried rice; Cashew Chicken, with an Egg Roll, and Pork Fried Rice; and General Tso Chicken.
Great value!
(Just don't look too hard under the hood!)
I'd eat there again, warts and all, no question about. Especially since it was actually open AFTER SUNSET
Something DAYBREAK right across the street can't seem to be bothered about anymore!
I guess it counted as food, but instead of chicken-fried-rice, I got something closer to, something-we're- calling -chicken-fried-peas.
Top 3 worst things I've ever attempted to consume, right behind the two meals that gave me food poisoning.
Not a clue where the high stars are coming from, as everyone knows what chicken should taste like, and that isn't it.
