Christie Dental of Meadowcrest, Crystal River FL

Beware, while many people have had good experiences with this dentist, I have had the worst experience with them. They are not organized and after expressing my disappointment to LISA, she hung up on me. They are not professional and seem pretty shady to me. I do not recommend them to anyone as I was treated very poorly by them. Following is how my interaction went with them:

I called them as a new customer to schedule a teeth cleaning and was told that I needed to have an oral exam and x-rays done first. Great, scheduled that appointment and had the exam and x-rays done. It was recommended by the hygienist that I have some deep cleaning done on a few of my teeth. At the end of my appointment, I tried to schedule an appointment for the cleaning and was told they were unable to schedule any teeth cleanings at the time due to something going on with their computer system. They told me they would contact me when they were able to schedule appointments again. After a week of not hearing from them, I called them and was able to schedule my appointment. Then I get a text from them a couple weeks later that I need to schedule an appointment. I called and told them I already have an appointment set up. They saw that and was unsure why I received that text. Then they see they just scheduled me for a regular cleaning and that if I want the deep cleaning, they would need to reschedule. I said no thanks, lets just get the regular cleaning done, they agreed and kept my scheduled appointment. Then I get a call from LISA telling me that they can't just do the regular cleaning, that I had to have the deep cleaning done. I inquired as to why because it was only recommended from the hygienist. Her response was "I'm just telling you what your chart says" and couldn't tell me why I can't just get a regular teeth cleaning. I said fine, cancel my appointment and I will find someone else. I then told her that I was very disappointed in their service and that my experience has been bad since day 1. She hastily said thank you for your feedback and hung up on me. Definitely a business I don't want to do business with and do not recommend to anyone after how I was treated.

Just had my 1st visit at Christie Dental. All I can say is that from the front office to the X-ray technician to Dr Steig they were amazing. They made you feel comfortable & treated you like family! I’ve always been afraid of dentist but I have a feeling that’s going to change.

Thank you to the team in the front who were able to get me an emergency appointment. The person who did my extras was kind and gentle. Dr Steig was able to help me understand my options and explained things well. Thanks a million to all of you!

We receive the most excellent care at Christie Dental. Very personal and professional from the dentist to the technicians. When considering new insurance we checked to ensure we could keep them. Thankyou!

I only got consultation here, not treatment yet.
Really good perspective! No financial pushing, wich I kind of expected to be, since I was in excruciating pain fir 24 hours. Usually you get all kind off hidden "emergency fees". It's hard to find a medical workers now, that wouldn't treat you as a milking cow, after all they did to us in "pandemic theater " times.
But they charged me 140$, with x-ray included. Prescribed antibiotics and really didn't try to sale any Hollywood smile "important procedures for my life treating dental problems".
I think I will be back in this place.
And yes- they were really caring for my pain. I saw it.

Rick, the hygienist is the best dental hygienist that I’ve ever had! I came to Christie Dental with untreated Periodontal Disease. He worked with me to prepare a plan to save my teeth. My last visit showed great progress and I’m now on the road to recovery thanks to Rick. I feel very comfortable and confident under his care.

I was veryy concerned about my appointment with Christie Dental. I found that they listened to my concerns and adapted their treatment program to keep me happy. Their staff n dentist are good. Hearted people. I will spread the word about a great place to go To get your smile n nerve back

New in town and needed a dentist, so I made an appt here. Staff was pleasant, and I especially liked the front desk staff, they were super friendly! Doc was was also very pleasant and listened to how I wanted to proceed with the options he had given me. They gave me a temporary fix until my next my appt. Happy that I chose this office.

Professional atmosphere, everyone from the front desk staff to the doctors and hygienist are amazing. Great place! Love it! Just wish they would stop trying to sell us a crazy expensive mouthguard, they know I already wear a retainer every night!

Great Staff. I hate going to the dentist but everyone there makes it easier. I just had my first appointment and I am looking forward to the next. And with a little luck I will have my smile back all thanks to them. If you are a person who doesn't like the dentist this is the place for you. They also play GREAT MUSIC while you wait.

Christie Dental is the best, especially if you a child with anxiety. They are very patient and make everyone very relaxed. They are also humorous and make you feel at home. I would not take my daughter any place else for her dental needs

Went for new patient exam and cleaning after thorough exam was told they can't schedule me for cleaning. They don't have a hygienist. Wish they would have told me before my visit. So now I'm going to end up paying out of pocket for another exam somewhere that can actually provide the services I need. Wish they would have been forthcoming with this info when I scheduled or even at time of check in so I could make an informed decision regarding my care. Instead they wait til they do the exam to tell me they can't do the recommended cleanings. Do not recommend this decietful care at Christie Dental!

Everyone at Christie Dental was very nice and helpful.they listen to you and made suggestions to benefit my mouth health that wont break the bank.they weren't my first choice but they will be my last and only choice. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great dental office that this is the place to go.also I left there with a smile and feeling good about my upcoming procedure.and it doesn't hurt that paired with my insurance company this will all benefit me.

New to area and found dentist. I so love atmosphere and how friendly and compassion all the employees are and to have a dentist care about your well-being and treatment to take care of your teeth and not break your pocket is very very nice I highly recommend going to Christie Dental.

Tammy is the best! I have been going to Christie Dental for many
years and have seen several dentists there. My only complaint is that I think Dr. Steig should wear a mask during the examination.
I could feel he breath as he talked to me and that was uncomfortable.

A dentist that listens to what you want not just what they think is best for you. Seriously grateful for having a dentist that listens and is willing to work with me. Couldn't possibly ask for a better dental assistant than Candy. 5 plus stars. Caring, professional service.

Needed a dentist for a broken front tooth ASAP. Haven't seen a dentist since we moved up in 2014. THIS will be my dental office from now on. Staff was SUPER friendly, down to earth. Dr. Steig is AMAZING. He is also very down to earth, makes you feel comfortable. TOTALLY recommend!
