Circles of Care, Inc reviews
10The life management program is really good for people who apply themselves and take it seriously. It's good for both residential and community clients. It has helped me recognize my early warning signs so I can get help before it turns into a crisis. It has also given me a lot of knowledge on what most people with SPMIs go through, cognitive distortions for example that helps me recognize my thinking problems sooner and reduces poor behavior that results in negative feedback and social consequences. It teaches people how to be assertive instead of passive, aggressive, or passive aggressive. I think the program would help most people, even those without mental illnesses, if they give it an honest try.
Always super friendly. Compassionate and caring. Pharmacy staff is speedy fast as well. Thank you for caring for our son.
Unfortunately, the care has changed for the worse. You get nurse practitioners instead of psychiatrist.
This is a great place to get help with mental health or addiction problems. DR & therapist are down to earth & helpful, not talking down to me. There always seems to be a long wait for an appointment. The clerks or secretaries? Are friendly and helpful.
What a joke this place is! If you go there, expect to go in circles with people who don't care!
Level of care isn't great with the therapists, although some of the psychiatric providers are good and well-educated.
If you're late 5 minutes to an appointment, they cancel the whole thing. That would be understandable if they didn't typically keep you waiting 15 minutes past your appointment time before you see your provider.
I recommend anywhere else if you can get in.
People there are rude and don't stand by their website. I will never let my friends or family go here
I'm posting this because I saw a lot of negative reviews from several years ago, and I wanted to offer some insight from someone who is a newer patient here.
I've been seeing Pamela Homer (APRN) at the Circles of Care in Rockledge at the Outpatient Facility for a few months now, and my experience has been over-and-above wonderful.
The staff at the front desk is kind; they've always been quick to acknowledge me, and I've never had any issues, at all.
I went in seeking a diagnosis for ADHD, which I've had my whole life and haven't sought treatment for due to fear of being medicated & the medication changing me somehow. I'm 34, and I've pretty much "mastered" (as much as any reasonable person can) the use of schedules, timers, lists, etc, to manage my symptoms and remain productive. But life has demanded a lot more of me, and my day-to-day coping skills weren't enough. I work 70+ hour weeks for my startup (with my husband) & we have toddlers. Being a good and present mom is always my top priority, followed by being a good spouse, followed by being a good teammate and leader for my cofounders and team- which mean my house was seriously slipping.
It was like, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't find enough hours in the day. I felt like a failure for not being able to handle it all.
After talking for a long time (two hours, IIRC) Pamela affirmed, based on our talks and doing the questionnaire/test, that I have ADHD. She also called me out for trying to do too much & helped me come up with a plan to scale back and set realistic goals. She also suggested a low dose of Adderall to help manage my symptoms.
It's.amazing. I feel *exactly* like myself, but I'm not refreshing to check my email or phone 76 times an hour. I'm not chasing dopamine hits on social media. I'm not getting carried away writing emails or on phone calls, and I'm aware of time and how to manage it better. Heck, I'm even putting laundry away!
I've had multiple appointments with Pamela, and each time she's thoughtful, attentive, and caring. Personality-wise, in case you're coming here looking for a medical professional to help you, She strikes me as a deeply intelligent and empathetic person- she has really gentle energy without making me feel like I'm a bull in a china shop. She is gentle but not.soft. She doesn't strike me as weak or delicate- there's a quiet mental strength & lack of judgement from her that makes her very easy to talk with.
We've ironed out my prescription, and I'm functioning like the best version of myself.
I'm so thankful to Pamela- and to Circles of Care- for helping people like me. I feel like I finally have a grip on life again.
Also: I love that there's a pharmacy on-site- and they've never run out of the medication I am prescribed.

One more thing: my experience with witnessing them interacting with a patient who has more serious needs. In case anyone is looking for a treatment facility for schizophrenia, psychosis, etc.
The last time I was there, there was a patient who was in the middle of some sort of schizophrenic episode. I obviously don't know her medical history, but she was generally talking to things I couldn't see.
From the 15 minutes I was in there waiting, they treated her like a human being with dignity rather than like, infantilizing her, correcting her, or treating her like a child or something.
Her reality was her reality, and they respected that.
And I found that just.so impressively kind. They didn't usher this lady off, nor did they apologize to me (as if she were a problem). They just smiled, chat, and carried on. I don't know what is standard in the mental health industry. Maybe that's how it's done everywhere. But I feel like, if I was ever going through something like that woman is (where people don't see the same reality that is real to you), I would hope people treat me with the same respect.
Very polite and respectful office workers. Large weird shaped building, but it is a newer one and the furniture is nice and comfortable in the waiting area. All the employees that work there, the doctors and nurses the counselors have all been very polite and professional, and it's just a nice place to visit. Has plenty of parking.
