CITA's Helen's House Thrift Store, Melbourne FL

It was clean, oranized and did not smell. Reasonably priced items, had exactly what I needed.

Ended up getting rid of the fill a bag up deal. Used to be nice to be able to go in and fill a bag up to cloth your family. Now its mostly a overpriced furniture store.

There's two entrances, I picked the one that was locked, the doors aren't marked as which to enter. They didn't greet me or say bye. But that's okay. No eye contact or acknowledgment, it lacks customer service, the clothes were dated but I mean it's thrift clothes. It's right on the edge of overcharging just like Goodwill does, everything is just kind of like a dollar one that should be, they could offset costs and price reasonably if they lower their prices on their regular merchandise and then raise them on the collectibles. That's a sure way to get your ROI you're welcome. Basic and blah

This is one of the last true thrift stores to be found. My washer, dryer, stove and microwave are all from CITA. If it wasn't for the kind, compassionate people at CITA on Aurora Road, I don't know what I would do. Ms. Stacey and Ms. Della are true GEMS. The atmosphere at CITA is very welcoming. The prices are always reasonable. I shop for clothes, bedding, toys for my grandson and whatever else my family needs. Thank you Stacey and Della and God Bless.

We have a mother who has lived here 30 years. Never once had she had bed bugs. Or any kind of pest for that matter. We purchased a queen "set". It was delivered 4 days later. Same mattress, different box spring. 3 months later and the box spring is covered in bed bugs and we're being eaten alive.
It seems Jesus Christ told the man behind the cash register that we were liars. He was arrogant. We are now sleeping without bedbugs on our FLOOR. I'm 59 and I can tell you the floor stinks. Just like this thrift store manager does. I'm sure God appreciates our 150.00 donation. I'm sure the guys recovering from addiction appreciated it too. They aren't the jerks here. Just a guy with Napoleon syndrome. We won't be shopping with you ever again.

Excellent people who help out there. So very nice. I've been looking for wood frames and found an interesting piece, pretty much what I was looking for and they even cut the price a little so it worked out good for both of us.

This store is a hot mess, I can't believe some of you consider it clean. Selling "unsellable" but still in box items from Walmart, for the same or almost the same price as Walmart. The reason your store is so jam packed and in need of space is because you are charging too much for your items. Your inventory is FREE, you pay ZERO taxes, yet you still charge sales tax. WTH? Hire someone with a brain to run this place. ** Kudos, however, to the guys that are there working their butts off, and going the extra mile for their customers. **

I don’t understand how they get donated all their stuff and can’t help people out with working on a price to be a blessing. A mother of 4 little ones living at home and our microwave caught on fire and I had only 17 dollars to my name and she wanted 25 for microwave and I explained my financial situation and she (stacy) still could be generous enough to lower price so I can have a microwave for my children. Times are hard and not everyone has the money. Especially for something that was donated I still don’t get why ppl can’t help the next out. I WILL NEVER DONATE TO THIS THRIFT STORE AGAIN. And I always donate to this place.

They used to have a much larger variety of things, now it's mostly furniture. Books, clothes and toys are very limited now sadly, or I would shop here more. However they do help people and they have always been nice.

The best for furniture shopping. All the time… whenever I need something they always have it. No junk and and priced very reasonable. Stores donate new items and we reap the benefits.

Staff is very friendly, even helped load the cabinet I purchased.
Has lots of dressers table and chairs.
Even baby items.

One of the few thrift shops that I can afford to shop at. Thrift stores are no longer for the poor to shop at. Friendly staff.

What was once a great thrift store: low prices, friendly staff and interesting items is now way over-priced, under staffed, and mostly "WalMart reject" items that are priced nearly as much as new.

Although I didnt find anything today.this is a great thrift store.lots of common things but this store excels in Furniture.lots of it.worth it to just look around

Great place to donate items you no longer use. CITA also called Helen's House keeps the proceeds in the community. Important to know when you donate who benefits from the proceeds.

Rude people work here. They do have really nice things but they have some of the most hateful people working there. Be careful asking anyone there a question.

Friendly staff, lots of furniture and knick knacks, clothing & shoes. Very reasonable prices.
