Citrus County Solid Waste Management reviews
11Landfill is great. Prices are reasonable. Workers are always a pleasure to deal with. Things get recycled unlike the local carting companies when they toss recyclables in back of truck with garbage.
Very well organized staff in yard very friendly and helpful. Inside booth Female attended seemed Annoyed when asked questions from a first-time visitor. Maybe time to rotate staff out of comfort zone and into the yard!
It's the county's Central landfill. Not much to say except that this is much more adequately maintained and organized than Sandland which emits a very strong stomach turning odor, extremely close to resedential areas, their perimeter fence is falling down inviting enormous liability, not to mention an overall eyesore to this great county. Unlike them, the Citrus County Central landfill site accepts all types of waste products with a certain degree of professionalism and even has amnesty days to help clean up our hometown. This is the place to go to for all your disposal needs.
Very convenient and people friendly to use. I average 45-50 trips to the dump per year and I am a very satisfied customer!
First time visits can seem overwhelming. The employees are friendly and very helpful. The rates are extremely reasonable and have me considering if I should cancel my trash service. The entire process is simple. The most difficult part was reaching the trash at rear of my truck.
The local garbage collection company around here is really awful. Better to just take it to the dump yourself. The staff is friendly and helpful. There's a Lowes and a Walmart nearby, so I usually dovetail a trip to the dump with some shopping.
New to the county and clearing my private property. Took numerous trailer loads of the yard and garden debris and the staff is always very helpful and pleasant. It's a great place, and yes it's a dump.
Crease was very helpful, professional. I'm new to the area and she gingerly walked me thru all the necessary steps. Great experience
I called to find out what I have to do to get rid of an old freezer. The phone was answered by a robot and there was no option to talk to a person. The robot directed me to the web site if I had any questions, the web site did not work.
Going to the dump yourself is a great money saver.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Yearly rates are reasonable, and things not covered by the year pass are pretty cheap: only $4 to drop 5 big bags of trash (without a pass).
Recycling is free and doesn't need to be sorted.
Mulch produced from yard waste is free.
I just found out today that they offer free rates on several things for citrus residents, apparently we pay an extra $20 or so on our property taxes for waste removal - twice a year you can dump furniture and tires for free.
Whenever I've had to make a visit to this waste management I have always been helped by a friendly staff member, the lines get long early on Saturday mornings but they do there best to keep everyone moving along.
