Best course in the area. Well taken care of. Great prices on alcohol. I don't understand these comments about it being in bad shape. As of today, it's been restored and the best round of golf I've had in florida.

Price is great, but course needs much attention. It has many ruts from start to finish. I love the layout as far as challenges and diversity, but not worth going back. It does play long and many dogleg, which I like. Greens are okay, but fairways are pretty bad. Don't expect flat lies or much roll on the fairways.

I was monitoring the 4th hole during a golf tournament today for a hole-in-one, and all the golfers were very kind while I was there. They were also appreciative of my military service. I'm not a golfer, but it was fun watching all of them trying to get that hole-in-one.

The AmVets Post 89 from Beverly Hills, Florida, is having their 4th Annual Golf Scramble here. The management and personnel have always been very helpful and cooperative. Our next scramble is on 10 September 2022, and the public is invited to participate. Any and all monies received is for our veterans, community, and youth programs.

Played this course over a year ago, it was in really good shape & was fun to play. Fast forward to this past weekend. A family member was in town & wanted to play a round while here. I chose to go back to this course thinking it was the same as last year. Big mistake! This place now looks like a cow pasture that does missile testing on the side. The fact that they charged me $40 per person for the round with a straight face astounded me. When the round was finished I had said something similar to the lady at the counter and she was very apologetic and explained that they are short staffed and in dire need of some grounds keeping but never offered me a few dollars back or even a discount for another round. They only reason I gave them 2 stars was for the snack bar staff. They were very friendly and upbeat. Other wise they get zero or at best a 1/2 star. I will definitely check on the reviews to see if anything has improved before I ever go back.

Decent/Okay golf course, driving range is in bad shape. The course is absolutely not worth the price though, this is a twenty dollar course not thirty eight. I thought the annual membership cost was fair for the course, until I realized it was the quarterly rate, which is insane if anyone pays that for here.

This course is in horrible shape for the price. The layout is really cool and it has tons of potential. However, it’s clear not a great deal of effort goes into keeping the course in good playable condition. It’s a $15-20 course at best. Don’t waste your time unless you enjoy basically hitting out of yard grass and pasture. For around the same price, you can play a very nice course (Twisted Oaks) just 5 miles down the road. The was my first and last time playing Citrus Springs.

The course is in average shape for this time of year. Greens are decent. Some fairways have bumpy spots, but they also have grass so it's not all bad. Same can be said for the tee boxes, most are ok and a few need TLC. This is a hilly course and it's fun to play.

Well maintained & manicured. Greens roll nice. Undulating hills make it a fun challenge. Highly recommend

This golf course has a great layout its a old Florida course that needs some TLC. Even though it's a little rough in places it has improved. I still enjoy playing here.

Made tee time but they wrote the name down wrong so wouldn’t honor our time. Hope skip shows up.

One of Citrus County's best kept secrets. With the new Head Pro, Scott Brown, the course just gets better every week, and the members are really enjoying the upgrades and better maintenance; greens are usually very well kept and fast. Bring your "A" game. It also caters to seniors with multiple tees to suit age-related infirmity.

I always enjoy this course. I like the terrain change compared to the average Florida course that is flat. Lately they have suffered significant erosion due to the recent heavy rains. They have some work to do to fix the cart paths and many areas that were washed out. But I'll be back!

Employes were helpful and polite. Course was in great shape and fun to play. Prices were very reasonable and competitive also. Would highly recommend playing there.

I have a home in the area so I play around all the local courses. I played this course in 2017, the year we built our home, and was not too impressed so I did not come back until 2021. Years ago I thought the layout was pretty nice with all the elevation changes but course management was severely lacking. Had a group of friends come down this past February to play golf for a week and we decided since this was the closest course to our house to play a quick nine as a tune up since most folks had not played for months coming from up North. Lots of improvements to the greens over the years. Greens were in great shape so the course has improved. Now that being said still a lot of work needed to improve the bunkers, fairways and tee boxes. If they put the same amount of work to improving the rest of the course as they have the greens I would join as a member as this is the closest course to my home. For the $28 price they charge its worth the money and if they stepped up the course management on the rest of the course I would have no problem paying a higher green fee to play as I do anyway for other local courses. I will keep an eye on the possible progress of improvements as I would love to play more often as this course is only a few blocks away but for $28 you get what you pay for.

The staff that work there and 80% of that people golf at citrus springs are awesome. But you have some groups that will pull out tape measures on the green after taking 10 to 15 swings to make it to the green. This then stacks up the groups waiting and causes other behind to rush or push up on other groups. These wannabe master putters are the worst part of playing at citrus springs as it is usually a busy course to begin with. It also take them way to long to make it to the green which makes it harder to understand why they want to pull out tape measures and putt like they got something on the line. I understand they want to be relaxed and play golf but it only stacks up the course behind them and makes it less enjoyable for groups of singles and doubles behind them. This isn't an exclusive residents only golf course but they act as if their golf etiquette is geared to only them being able to enjoy the golfing experience at citrus springs.
