Just purchased home and went there with no idea what I needed to do for water hookup (we are well), trash, and permitting instructions. Everyone I dealt with there was very helpful, friendly, and I was in and out pretty quick with Allen expenses and hookups paid and permits on the way! Thank you for making it easy!

Ridiculous $200 deposits to start water service that has an average $50/month bill. When terminating service with $. 00 balance, they say it takes 5 weeks to process the refund. No excuse as to why it should take 5 weeks. Maybe they need a computer to replace the people working here.

It’s a shady department of a shady city government. The city of Palm Bay is one of the most corrupt cities in florida.

I wish there was a zero star rating. This horrid mean spirited government office (which is funded by us taxpayers) is impossible to deal with. How incredibly annoying!

Purchased this house 2 1/2 years ago.had no idea where the clean-out pipe was located. Two weeks ago we had a sewer back-up and called Roto Router. They could not find the clean-out pipe and had to take the toilet out to run their snake. They also wanted to hydro jet my sewer line and install a clean out pipe costing an additional $1500. I didn't want to do this. Called Palm Bay Building and Planning for a a plot plan to find out where my sewer line clean-out to the city sewer line was located.and they transferred me to the Utilities Dept to get a work order to locate the location from my sewer line to the main city line. The very next day two workers "Cody and Will" came over and pinpointed the location and they were courteous and professional. Thank you so much for helping us out and saving us $1500. Waited on the phone for over 30 minutes, Water was out, turns out they were servicing the water main. No advance notice no estimate on how long it will be out!

I have never seen such a rude staff. For no reason at all. Empowered and probably overpaid clerks.

If I could get away with giving them zero stars, I definitely would!
I have always called and/ or emailed WM to have a few bulk items picked up, they have never picked up anything I've placed out for them to pick up!
Today is Friday, I've been waiting for my regular trash to be collected since Tuesday! I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like it if I said I'd pay my bill today, and then not pay until next week! I wish we had a choice in service providers. Even the workers in the field are jerks!

Glad Marie is no longer there, saw her run off a black guy that approached her window for customer service help spoke to him rude and child like demanding the guy to grab a number when there was no one in there! She was very polite to the next white person that did the same thing!

They don't pick up on time. Whenever there's a holiday seems they NEVER even come pick up at all that week and so much trash is on the street from all the neighbors, it's ridiculous! We pay for this pickup and don't think we should if they aren't going to pick up on time on set day or at all that week. Bills should be prorated. I will find another way to rid of my trash of this keeps up. There's no reason for it. Despite my calls to complain it format seem to matter.

We just moved to Palm Bay and had to get our water turned on at our new place. A VERY unfriendly lady named Angela served me. She was unprofessional, rude and should NOT be in customer service. I received much better service from West Melbourne utilities. This is a bad reflection on Palm Bay. If I had that job I would treat people with a little more respect and dignity as they deserve, after all we do pay taxes which I believe is how she gets paid?

I wish I could give them ZERO stars, but that is not possible. They will put the water under the homeowner's name, charge them a monthly fee for the service, and NOT TURN THE WATER ON. I was paying for the service for over 5 months on a home that was for sale, and when the home inspector showed up after the house went under contract he found no water at the house! I was livid, and of course the people in charge will give you a lame excuse as to why they didn't turn the water on when they put it in your name and charged you for it. Despicable!
